I searched but couldn't find a thread for her; apologies if there is one...
Anyway, I'm still not done lamenting the passing of Veronica Mars, but Kristen's now going to be on the new season of Heroes. She seems to be pretty comfortable as one of the top heroines of the nerd ephemera. I think she's adorable and a fantastic actress to boot, so much so that I Netflixed the first season of Heroes so I can catch up and watch her this fall.

Nothing against Bell. But the rabid Mars fans made me glad that show was cancelled. And I sort of hope she never works again.
Heroes seems a nice fit for her though. Rabid Mars fans to rabid Heroes fans. I remember perusing Twop once and the Mars fans were going off on how she should apologize to them because she insulted a pairing that they were fond of.
Bell is doing well for herself though. She is talented and seems to have some savvy. Usually the WB/UPN kids just sort of disappear when their shows get offed.

Oh I must admit I have a soft spot for her because of Mars although the last season was nowhere near as good as the first two - I really hated the romance that the kinda threw in there at the end with Piz. Annoyed me to no end.
I love me some Heroes so I am excited that she is going to be on that show. Apparently she was apparoached to be on Lost but she didn't want to relocate to Hawaii.
Sounds like she isn't short of offers which is good.

I love her. I think she seems so cool. I freaking loved her as Veronica. I just stayed away from the VM TWOP boards because people got WAY too invested in the show.
I'm bummed that she's not going to be on Lost since I watch it anyway. I will check out Heroes. (Sadly, I'm also going to watch the first episode of that stupid vampire show for Jason Dohring- damn him and his pretty eyes).
I'm excited that Kristen will be in a Judd Apatow movie (Forgetting Sarah Marshall?). I love his stuff and Kristen could be Leslie Mann's little sister. They both have edge.

I think Kristen's perfectly suited for the whole Apatow schtick... can't wait to see Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
I actually just saw an interview with her, on the Craig Ferguson show, where she was asked about being on LOST and she said the first she heard about it was when the Late Late Show producers were clearing questions with her before the interview. She was in Hawaii filming FSM and the internets ran wild. She was all, "I wish!" I'm thinking this must have been just before the Heroes news broke, because that's a way more exciting show to have booked at this point in time, IMO. Though she might have perked up the LOST set a little.
I had no idea VMars had such an intense fanbase. Only a couple of my friends and I watched it out of the people I know, and I know it's the kind of nerdy thing that attracts fanboys/girls, but I just had no idea. Why the heck did it get cancelled with that kind of rabid support? Lobbying and petitioning and *ahem* bitching to get a show picked up are just about the only things fans like that are good for.

I used to love Veronica Mars until the S2 premiere. Then I was done with the show. Ms. Bell didn't help my growing hatred of it or her with her high handed "you have to be intelligent to understand my show and my character" or "they are blinded by Logan's smile" comments. I don't like being patronized or told I'm stupid because I no longer like a show that's lost its way. So I won't be following her to Heroes. I'll be DVRing her eps so I can skip through her scenes.

I don't get the appeal of her. She is generic and bland. And man, am I glad that Veronica Mars was cancelled. The fans of that show are crazy. The show wasn't that great.

She actually said you have to be intelligent to understand the show and her character? I don't get what was so intelligent about it. I watched the first season (this is actually the same thing that happened with Heroes for me) even though I didn't like it. But I kept hearing about how great it was, how it was the best show on television, so I kept watching it hoping I'd you know..."get it" whatever it was.
Then I came to terms with the fact that I didn't like the show and I wasn't a bad person, or a stupid person. And I felt good.

* la la la* I can't hear bad things being said about Kristen * la la la*
I freakin' love her. I loved her as Veronica Mars; I love her cute little smushed up face; I even love the fact the the Fug Girls always go after her because that just says to me that she's not one of these idiot starlets who spend 99% of their time with a stylist.
It's just as well I never go to TWOP because I might have turned into one of *those fans* if I'd been over there ...
