And before you say "But she was so good in Boogie Nights!" remember that Heather Graham was in it too. Yeah, and she was *also* good! Sorry, my love of "Boogie Nights" is universal and all-encompassing.

One point in her favor is that she has never whitened her teeth. 90% of actors nowadays have freakishly-white teeth, which always distracts me on the big screen.

Seriously, how does she stay so wrinkle-free as such a pale person? I have the same skin, and I must know her secret.

She is radiant. I love Julianne Moore.

She's weirdly insecure and always convinced she's never going to work again. That's why she keeps taking shit movies. I don't know what it's going to take for her to grow a spine and start saying "no" when someone offers her a part.
I find her BFF relationship with Ellen Barkin strange. JM seems so down to earth and normal and EB has turned into this Botoxed to death UES snob.

Sorry, my love of "Boogie Nights" is universal and all-encompassing. I second that. I lurve PTA and am looking forward to his new one. But I digress...I liked JM in BN and Lebowski and Far From Heaven and The Hours. I pretty much always like her. Her performance in Magnolia was a bit of a disappointment but it hardly counts because it was so overshadowed by the monstrously overrated CTC. Why does he always get the great and memorable lines? "I'm quietly judging you." And "The Hits just....", etc. Why him? I sometimes find myself about to blurt out one of his lines in a suitable context & muzzle myself just in the nick of time. Sorry. Another digression...sigh...I'll just play quietly in the corner...

Nice to see her back to red. The blonde she had recently (for a role, I think) looked so odd on her.

I generally hated The Hours but I thought she was fantastic in her role. She deserved Kidman's Oscar.
I also liked Far From Heaven. JM had great chemistry with Dennis Haysbert, plus the OUTFITS! They continually dressed her in these amazing 1950s color-coordinated outfits and she rocked every single one of them.
