I like her too. I loved her in Bend it like Beckham and she does come off as sweet and down to earth, and I love her tomboyish style, because I am a bit of a tomboy myself. I think she is a passable actress, but she has room to improve, and she is fully aware of that, unlike most of the other actresses in her generation.
I mostly hated her in Pirates of the Caribbean, but her character was a breath of fresh air compared to all the weak damsel in distress characters that are usually played in movies like that.

Domino looks freaking awesome. I like Tony Scott. And butch Keira is sort of hot.

I think she picks parts that are too old for her.
I found this story that I thought was interesting:
Tabloids, Don't Leave Home Without 'Em: It has happened to all of us, so you can sympathize with Keira Knightley, who waited in a long line at the Wells Fargo bank in Beverly Hills, only to discover when she got to the front that she'd forgotten her ID. Here's the part that hasn't happened to all of us: According to the National Enquirer, Knightley had a mag in her purse that had pictures of her, and the bank accepted it as legit identification. Think about that the next time they squint skeptically at your driver's license.

I think Keira should avoid period piece films; she is more believeable in contemporary films.
She can go on a bit in interviews, but she seems less jaded than, say, Kirsten Dunst. She also comes off as more "real".
She is beautiful, and I admire her for talking about cutting her hair as "liberating". She seems less self-conscious than many young actresses her age.

I absolutely love the way she talks. I bought the new Elle magazine with her on the cover and read her interview. She is such a British Brit, if that makes any sense.

Liv Tyler said the same thing ten years ago, and I didn't give a rat's ass back then either. And I actually like Liv.
I really can't stand Keira. I can handle a lot if I like an actor's body of work, so it's safe to say that I would probably be fan girling her if I could see even a smidgen of talent. Unfortunately, I don't give free rides for charisma or I'd be able to watch a KK movie without grinding my teeth.

Wordy McWord on the charm thing. Before I'd seen her in anything, I caught her in an interview about PotC. They asked her about appearing in a movie based on a theme park ride. Her response was something like "Well, when they asked me I was a bit... bemused. But then I heard that Johnny Depp was in it, so that was interesting, then they said Geoffrey Rush. Well, all right, then!"
The way she said "bemused" just made me love her a little bit, and since I like everything she's been in that I've seen (Bend it Like Beckham, PotC, King Arthur, Love Actually) it's never gone away. Read a couple interviews too... even when the "New It Girl" thing was going about, she was handling it quite well, I thought.

I like a lot of movies Keira has been in too. I just can't stand her performances. And I use the plural loosely, considering she can play all of ONE character. Well two, if you count the result of adding absolutely no depth into her performance as another character...

I seem to be pulling up a lot of threads fron the bottom of the bin right now.
Saw the preview for Domino this weekend and it looks awesome. I'm mostly neutral on Keira, but with her new rocker do, I like her as a badass bounty hunter. And I like that she doesn't seem to be going the traditional pretty, boring blond route offscreen.

The way she speaks makes me want to stick pins in my eyes. It's like she has too many teeth for her mouth or something. Grrr.
