That's the kind of image she should have -- mature, alluring, sultry, yet accessible.

I was there. She wasn't crying. She was sweating like crazy.

What's with the one-arm sleeve?

I watched the video in the link and was hit with a tidal wave of happiness and good memories. Is that album really 20 years old? My mother isn't even a Mariah fan, but even she enjoys listening to it around the holidays. There is not another Christmas album that even comes close to make me feel like her first Christmas album does. It is a true classic. The combination of her voice and the production and song choices is just magic. eta-I can't believe she's still doing the glove thing. I can't believe it's because of the injury. Is one hand more wrinkled than the other?

I heard Dream Lover on the radio and had forgotten how much I love that one of hers.

Out in the Nevada desert we had... - Cher
- Celine
- Toni Braxton (for a minute)
- Britney
- Jennifer Lopez
- and now Mariah.
Vegas, baby! It seems to be where aging pop divas go when their careers are on a downturn... By the way, Mariah is rumored to be getting even more than Britney.

I just...I MUST ATTEND.
She's been doing so horribly live as of late, I'm really surprised that Caesars would hire her for the long haul. I've always wanted to see her at a concert, but never could go since she didn't come to L.A. enough or the tickets were beyond my price range.
Now she's only a little over 3 hours away and it may just work out for me to see the train wreck in person. I'm hoping Kathy Griffin attends, too.

I'd be curious to see what the real length of the contract is. I'm not surprised Caesar's signed her--she'll bring in money even if it's for the train wreck factor.

Mariah is only replacing Celine until she comes back. So far the dates are only for May and July. I think June is taken up by Elton. It's already been debunked that she's making more than Britney.
And the whole theme of the residency is her #1's album. So she'll be singing all of her 18 Billboard Hot 100 number one songs (I Don't Wanna Cry! Someday!) plus fan favorites (she'll probably throw in Shake It Off or Obsessed because she falsely believes we want to continue to hear them).
