Damn it. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

And they are both such freak accidents - it doesn't sound like anybody was negligent in either case (other than the asshole on the jet ski, of course). Just terrible, terrible luck. I would be out of my mind. I hope the boy is all right.

Knew she wouldn't wait. I thought I heard on the news last night he was home. That they kept him over night for observation.

I thought I heard critical condition, but there's no new news yet today.

TMZ updated their original story to say that he was conscious and alert on the ride to the hospital, and doctors said he would be fine.
Tameka sure filed quickly, I bet she's just been waiting for some kind of accident to file for custody.

I know she is nutty but who can blame her for freaking the eff out? She already lost one baby to a freak, water accident. Hopefully, it won't get too ugly between them now.

There was a segment on GMA about how under federal law public pool drains must have covers. I wonder what the deal was with Usher's pool? It seems like a cover would have prevented this situation. I hope this story is a wake-up call to homeowners with pools to get covers for the drains and routinely check that they are secure.

I thought covers were mandatory too. Tameka is a hot mess, and this will get her foot in the court door, but she won't get those boys back.

What a horrible story. If he was alert en route to the hospital, that's a great sign. I thought since those drownings a few years back (when kids' hair was getting caught in drains) that there was more industry oversight. Usher & Tameka must both be terrified.
