It's bad enough what happened to Bobbi, but it's extra sad to know that her poor body is attached to all these contraptions, pumped full of all these drugs, and having procedures performed on it constantly just so she can be kept artificially functioning on a hospital bed.
I hope her family comes to their senses and lets her go soon.

Probably. I can see them hoping she'll linger for the next eight years until she's 30 so all of the trust money goes to Bobbi and then they can try to stake a claim on it. If she dies now, the bulk that's still in trust goes to Cissy.

TMZ Sounds as if Bobby is still holding out hope, when the reality is...she's gone.

I'm just angry beyond words at the Houston and Brown families. None of these people cared about this girl and what was right for her. And yes, that includes her mother.
And no, you can't simply chalk this up to being "ghetto." First, there are lots of people who live in the ghetto who are loving, attentive parents. They would jump in front of a moving train for their children. They wouldn't go near drugs. Second, Whitney. was. not. raised. in. the. ghetto. She simply chose to behave like a no-class ghetto hood rat.
I shouldn't speak ill of the dead, but...fuck Whitney Houston and fuck the Browns and fuck the Houstons.

This mess is what happens when there is pervasive addiction in a family. It's not a "ghetto" or eduction or class thing. With addicts come enablers and people in denial and people who need to be in crisis and martyrs. Addiction is usually a family disease where there's a line of people with issues. We're seeing other people's issues play out here.

I remember reading that Cissy is an alcoholic. My guess? She and her husband were/are using drugs as well.
You are right, Hamatron, it's not a question of being "ghetto." Addiction transcends that. But even without addiction, the whole family is utterly vile. Bobbi Kristina didn't have a chance, I'm sad to say.

Oh word, I am agreeing with you. With every addict there is a family/social circle with their own major addiction, be it drama or enabling, etc. These guys don't have the coping skills to handle this with decency. It's very sad.
Also, as a result, it's maddening to watch things play out! People with issues like this are shit at handling major crisis. They haven't been handling crisis for years now, but they are at a point where they can't pretend it's alright. Some sure are still trying though...

Yup, imagine if the Houston family had done an intervention on Whitney on the actual show "Intervention"? I notice on later seasons, that show was starting to send the addicts' enablers and other family members to rehab/therapy as well. It was always clear over the course of the show that almost everybody in the family/friend circle was equally as responsible for the addict's problems. Didn't Cissy sing back-up for Elvis amongst others? The lifestyle and opportunity was certainly there for her so it wouldn't surprise me if she had her own issues.
