I just googled "cocaine chicken." Man, am I disappointed. I thought it was going to be something like a beer-basted chicken/turkey. I just Googled this too. That part sounds believable coming from Bobby's mouth. My favorite part of the interview was when he was asked what has been written or said in the media that he'd like people to know is untrue, and he went off on how he's not a woman beater and has never laid a hand on a woman. Cut to that one time he was arrested for beating Whitney, but she chose not to press charges. Cut back to him rambling kinda about something kinda vague. I dunno whether Charlie Murphy ever hung out with Bobby Brown back in the day, because we can probably use some True Hollywood stories on Bobby too. (I'm thinking of the Rick James skit when he at first denied what Charlie claimed he had done, and then later in the video, said, "Yeah, I did it." Cocaine is a hell of a drug!) Impacted fecal matter? Yeah, I remember everything. TMI at its finest. The clinical term is "doody bubble". Proof positive that both Bobby and Whitney were ratchet as hell. I vaguely remembered a scene in which he encounters someone on the street. The guy didn't recognize him. Bobby then pantomined his hands being put into handcuffs and asked something like, "Do you recognize me now?" That at least showed some self-awareness. ETA: People forget that for a short time in the 1980s, Bobby Brown was a pretty big star in his own right. "My Prerogative," anyone? Also, "Every Little Step" and "Roni". "Rock Wit'cha" was one of THE slow jams back in the day. He and Whitney could have been the entertainment supercouple (a la Beyonce and Jay-Z) of their day, but for some reason that didn't end up happening.

In fact, that's what he should do. STFU, Bobby, and go away.

Yeah. He was a teen star in New Edition (remember "Candy Girl"?), which launched a few careers and had spinoff groups (like Bell Biv Devoe -- remember "Poison" and "Do Me"?). As a solo artist, Bobby Brown was right up there with MC Hammer at the time (remember "Every Little Step I Take," "Roni," "Don't Be Cruel," "Ain't Nobody Humpin' Around"? LOL).
I think he is on the State Fair circuit, right? He basically tours continually these days.

I know he was popular, but I was still surprised that Bobby said he had more cash than Whitney when they got married because Whitney had already been a hit solo artist for a long time. 20/20 made it sound like Whitney's career took off with "I Will Always Love You" which is not the case. That just sort of solidified her as a superstar.

Funny...I was reading the list of songs and I thought, "'Do Me'? I don't remember that one." And almost instantly the chorus revs up in my head, where it has been playing on a loop for the last five minutes, and probably will be for the next five days.

Guys, the ad at the top of the page is for chicken... is that because it keeps getting typed here?

All of this talk of Bobby's hits, and no one has mentioned "On Our Own," the best thing to come out of Ghostbusters II? That is the crucial jam. Too hot to handle? Too cold to hold?
I rewatched that video recently and was bummed out to see Drumpf making a cameo.

Yes! I can probably still sing that song word for word. It was everywhere the summer it came out, hah. It was far superior to MCHammer's Addams Family single.

It is always intertwined in my mind with "Batdance," which also came out that summer.
It is far superior to "Batdance." Sorry, Prince.
