Billy Clyde Tuggle and ES-telle and the Persuadiator! I can’t believe I’m reminiscing about a pimp but man, Matthew was fun to watch.

Dixie and Tad!
I campaigned and canvassed for a local challenger to our crazy representative in Congress in 2018 (sadly, he didn't win). But one of the shallow things I loved about him was that he reminded me of David Canary (Adam/Stuart Chandler) from AMC. I was really sad when David passed. He was on the show a long time but I can remember when Adam was first introduced. The character of Stuart was introduced as kind of a crazy/sinister character, so it always seemed a little strange that they morphed him into a loveable do-gooder.

Even though I know his history, it's still a jolt when somebody you think has things under control turns out not to. Interesting to note that he's never been to rehab before - when he was out of control in his early twenties, he just stopped cold turkey one day. He's always seen a therapist, but he's never been to AA or formal treatment.
There was some talk recently that his wife changed her name on social media (removing the Mulaney) and then deleted her accounts, but I follow both of them and she's always doing stuff like that, so I didn't think too much of it.
He recently got a job as a writer on Seth Meyers's show and that was weird. He told Jimmy Kimmel that his therapist felt that it was crucial to his mental health that he have the structure of a job. He and his wife have been quarantined in their apartment just the two of them with no real jobs for the better part of the year and that probably played a big part.
I realized typing this that I know a *lot* of personal details about this man's life.
ETA: I hope this is the end of his friendship with Pete Davidson. I wouldn't be surprised if Pete encouraged him to relapse so they could party together because I don't think Pete has any respect for sobriety.

LOL, it's very easy to fall down a Mulaney rabbit hole of interviews, I know all those details too. Very sad to see this news, but hopefully this is good for him.

Well Mulaney is also very candid about his past and his mental health. It’s not like you know what his therapist told him in sessions because they leaked it, Mulaney talks about it openly.
I think people truly love him and are rooting for him. I know I am.
