Oh my god, that's awesome. And Basic Instructions is brilliant beyond measure.

Two excellent sci-fi webcomics I've been reading:

A Miracle of Science, about mad science, robots and romance. Ran from 2002 to 2007

Schlock Mercenary, a grand space-opera about a group of mercenaries looking for trouble, finding it, and saving the galaxy a few times. It's been running daily since June 2000. Yes, one strip per day all that time.

Garfield minus Garfield has become one of my favorite things ever. It took a boring strip about a fat, smartass cat and made a surreal, hilarious and kind of haunting strip about a lonely guy who spends all his time hanging around his house talking and/or yelling to himself while slowly losing his mind.

Speaking of Garfield, what the hell is going on? I mean, first all of a sudden it starts having a coherent storyline with Jon dating Liz. And then I saw Nermal in last night's strip and my mom said she saw the pink girl cat (Arlene or something?) make an appearance a few days ago. What on earth??

I wish Funky AND his strip were both dead. It's the most depressing "comic" out there*. I don't expect comics to be laugh-out-loud funny every single day, but jeez, at least try to be funny once in a while. The whole strip is such a downer. Why get into comics if you make no effort to be funny?

"Pearls Before Swine" is still the best comic out there, IMO.

*Tied with "The Lockhorns". Two miserable people who hate each other! That's hilarious!
