After having raised two teenagers (boy and girl) I'm not going to apologize for being a "prude" for having the opinion that 15 year olds shouldn't be sexualized. Yes, there are some girls that age who are mature enough to make informed decisions in these matters, but the vast majority are not. The sexualization of girls under the age of 16 shouldn't be normalized to the point where anyone who protests is accused of being unsophisticated or a prude or an "uptight American." How did we get here?

How did we get here? What is troubling about it, for me, is that at fifteen, this girl is learning that the most important thing about her, the most valuable is the way she looks. And one thing us old chicks know is that looks don't last and though it may seem like a cliche, who you are on the inside really does matter, because that's what you're left with when the looks have faded.

Not disagreeing with you at all, but I'd like to clarify. She's the daughter of Lionel Richie, and his former mistress/exwife who needed 100K a month for necessities that included plastic surgery. She is friends with the Jenner girls who are being raised by two plastic surgery victims. These kids are taught from the womb that looks, money, fame, connections, and having the right last name will get you everywhere. They aren't taught to think, try, or strive. It's a life of modeling, fashion lines with your name attached, paparazzi shoots, and hooking up with the right guy. If any of these kids gets an actual diploma (and not home school diplomas because they have to "work" or are "bullied") I'll eat my hat. And you can forget about college.

Dress is hideous, hair is ugly and she looks ill.

Yeah, looks like she is in eating disorder territory again. I hope she seeks help.

She doesn't look good in the MET pics. The dress and hair did her no favors but she's looking seriously unwell there.
