I figured Joe was safe, since they'd barely shown him all evening and he'd hardly said a word. I would have been happy with either Joaquin or Rodney going. They're both absolutely awful, but getting to see Rodney's confusion definitely made it worth while to keep him around. He's like one of those light bulbs that takes a couple of minutes to fully come to power.
When Mike was throwing that last challenge, it was kind of painful to watch the other woman (who's supposed to be a cop) do so badly on recall.

IDK when it happened, but I have a little thing for Joe. I think it's the man bun.

Yeah, the editing had Rodney so puffed up on his own brilliance that I knew a fall was coming, Joe just didn't get enough attention for it to be him.
Rodney is so insufferable that I can't wait for him to go, but it was probably smarter to get Joaquin out first to cut the Tyler relationship off and obviously Sierra likes Joaquin far more than Rodney and might be more inclined to work with him if Rodney were gone.
This is an odd group, I don't have a clear favorite or a love to hate, just a few that I truly cannot wait to see go (Rodney, the supremely annoying Dan, Shirin.) I kinda like Jenn and Joe has grown on me, even with that truly unfortunate facial hair. I also have a soft spot for Carolyn, though I can't pinpoint why.

Damn. Hali just went up in my estimation- I was hoping they could pull that off. I am sooooo sick of Dan and his superiority complex!

I don't understand how that obtuse moron Dan goes through life without getting punched in the face, every single day.
His version of an "apology" to Sierra and "being nice" to Shirin, leave something to be desired. Every time he opens his mouth, I just reflexively start cringing. Not to be shallow, but he's too ugly to be this obnoxious. Pick a struggle.
Dare I say he's more infuriating than Rodney.

This made me laugh so hard. (So true, too.)
He totally is, mainly because there's no redeeming factor to his presence. Rodney's lack of filter/inability to hide his feelings has some entertainment value, while Dan seems like a natural-born jackass who thinks being MORE of a jackass is the key to being remembered. He's as much of a superfan as Max or Shirin and he's desperate to become a "character."
I've come around on Shirin a little bit, I kinda feel bad for her now and I'm rooting for her and the underdog NC alliance.
I hope that Joe either goes on an epic immunity run OR the Probst-hyped "twist" is something that saves Joe/Jenn/Shirin from being the next 3 boots.

I'm totally pulling for Joe even though I have Will in the office pool. Dan just makes me ragey.

You have Will? Well, stranger things have happened.
I have Mike, Shirin, and Tyler left in the AVClub pool. I'm probably not long for this either.
Dan, if you're really a superfan, you don't antagonize people who are voting for a million dollars. You might want to take some Humam Behavior courses.

I can't believe I fell for Jeff's bullshit, that season 30 was going to be even better than Cagayan (beauty/brains/brawn). To me, it's a sea of annoying floaters and 3-4 people playing the game. And the people actually playing are even more unlikeable. I have no one to root for. At this point I'm hoping Shirin takes it all, just because Carolyn, Rodney, and Dan have been so awful to her.
I will give props to Rodney on his Mike/Dan impersonations, which were spot on. I rewound that scene a couple of times.

Well, I'm sure you're now even more thrilled that you have Will, after last night's sterling example of humanity. Wow, what an ass!
They talk about the winner's edit over on AVClub, and how they subtly can tell you at least makes it to the end. Both Mike and Shirin have had pretty good edits, especially Shirin, who comes off as quirky on the show, but must be a lot more negative in real life. How those two might make it that far will be pretty impressive at this point.
Jenn, you will be missed as a fun narrator. Rumor has it you're quite wealthy and didn't need the money anyway. I'm sure we will still see you on this show again.
Mike, you are an idiot for that Auction misstep. Social Skills! They're important!
