Ok, I am totally crying now. Hell, even Richard and Emily are there? *sniffle*

say what you will about the last two seasons, but that was an absolutly perfect series finale. Everyone appeared and got a moment, Richard and Emily made me cry, and they ended it in the diner. Just perfect.

I adored it. I particularly liked Richard telling Lorelai that he was proud of her, and Emily worrying that Rory moving away meant that Lorelai would disappear from her life. The end shot, the recreation of the end of the first episode, was perfect.

I think it's completely ridiculous and implausible that the whole town held a party for Rory Gilmore, Golden Child, but unfortunately I teared up in spite of myself.
And you know, I somehow doubt that "I guess so" were the infamous last words that whatsherface planned for the end of the series. Did we ever conclusively find out what they were supposed to be?

Yeah, other than "Rory Gilmore-Golden Child" it was a really nice send-off. And to be fair, if you're going to drag all the characters together into an event, a giant party is a great reason and I suppose a graduation is worth a giant party.
I liked it. I loved how Lorelei finally realized her dad is proud of her and I love that she finally realized that Emily's nagging is her way of trying to stay involved in her life. I was happy with Rory's job (not too great but good) and I like that the Luke/Lorelei thing was resolved enough to make everyone happy but there wasn't a big stupid wedding.
It was a really good send-off and a fantastic way to end it.

I didn't catch the whole episode, but yeah, I'm so relieved that it wasn't a big wedding or *look, lorelai and rory are both pregnant! ha ha!*... Nice, pleasant send-off.

I was pretty teary eyed during the stupid party and when Luke made his "I like to see you happy." [or something like that] comment, I lost it. It felt rushed, but I guess it had to be, better than the nothing you usually get when a fav show is cancelled,

The grandparents almost made me cry. I loved how both of them showed/told Lorelai how much they loved her. I also loved that the last conversation with Lorelai and Emily was about not wearing jeans to FND.
I wish that we got to see Mrs. Kim though.

Ending it where it started at Luke's was a very nice touch. Now I wish the show could come back for just one more season. I know, silly isn't it. But there are so many unanswered questions.
