How come everytime Ray Ray drops anything on the counter it's always " ______ overboard!" ? She drops a piece of shrimp, "shrimp overboard!".
My local paper had an article about Ray Ray today. She's getting married to her sweetheart in September and her dog Boo died.

I know most of the discussion so far has been about different chefs (or "chefs" as the case may be), but I want to give a shout-out to Unwrapped. If you haven't seen it, it's about yummy food and how it's made. I have seen segments about taffy, pizza, nuts (a Mr. Peanut segment was fun!), popcorn, Pringles, candy... well, you get the drift. And Marc Summers hosts it! Double Dare, people! Anyway, it's a fun show. I love this show! And Marc Summer is such a GEEK now, it's funny!

Alton Brown brought out a giant plastic pig to show exactly where Fat Back comes from. I...could've done without that.

Aww, that's so sad about Rachel's dog Boo. She dedicated her cookbook (Cooking Around the Clock) to "her girl, Boo". Makes me feel sorry for her.

As a broke-ass student, I am very excited about the premiere of the new show, Good Deal with Dave Lieberman this Saturday. It looks interesting, and the food in the promos looks de-lish! [/RayRay]

Is the "Good Deal" show the winner of that contest they had going a while ago? On the website you could vote for newbie chefs who would get their own show. The first round of contestants was so terrible that I never went back to vote again.

Nope, not the same thing. The Next FN Star thing will be in June.

I'll kill time watching Rachel Ray's 30MM if there's nothing else on I want to see and I'm too lazy to do anything else, but I've never really been inspired to cook anything she's made -- and I love to cook! She's definitely too perky and over the top, too.
I love Good Eats and enjoy the kitschy props and such. I've never tried any of his recipes, but I've picked up tips here and there.
I haven't watched Giada that much, but she's the only one who has inspired me to make one of her recipes. I also think she's incredibly pretty and I have such a girl crush on her.
As a Southerner, I find Paula Deen's accent to be completely believable.
I've only seen Sandra Lee once or twice, but the horror stories I've heard about the things she makes scare me. And really, no cake should ever be grey!
