It was too long and they had a fair number of technical glitches & goofs, but overall it was a good show. My favorite part was Bill Murray singing "Jaws." It was good to see Eddie Murphy again and I'm glad he chose not to reprise any of his characters.

I was disappointed in the show -- I didn't think it was very funny and would have preferred just clips. What is wrong with me? Wanh-wanh!

I agree. I have never really understood why this show is still on the air as it is not funny. Many of the people who appear on the show are not funny. The musical guests are always blah. There was a brief period a few seasons ago when it actually was funny (to me). But quite honestly, I have this same comment for many top rated so-called comedies.

The Jeopardy sketch was the high point for me, I laughed so freaking hard at that. And I love that Norm MacDonald came back for it. Considering he didn't leave the show on great terms I was afraid he wouldn't be there. He's still the best WU anchor for me.
I did like the new Digital Short and how they called out Fallon and Sanz for constantly breaking.

I am only halfway through (its on my DVR) but so far I have liked it. I could do without famous actors recreating sketches but Melissa McCarthey's Matt Foley, Motivational Speaker was on point.

Tina, Amy, and Jane were the best. After all the years of mixed feelings, it was really nice to see Jane Curtain having so much fun (her Fox News joke was spectacular)

I'm glad they had sketches and not just clips--it sort of gave the clips a strange second life, like they were able to exist in a different time continuum than before.

I love love love the Hill & Weingrad book about the first ten years of the show. It seemed like such a wild ride. No one in the book comes off very well but that just adds to the fun for an innocent bystander. I know Doug Hill! Cool! (Haven't read the book yet, though.) Celebrity Jeopardy is always awesome. That's awesome! It is honestly one of my favorite books- I'm on my second copy. I'm not even a huge fan of the show, but something about the drama of those years- it's so entertaining. The Chevy Chase chapter: link

My favorite part of SNL will always be the Bees, Julia Child and Gilda Radner. Plus I liked "Nat X" Sample line: " "February is Black History Month — isn't that nice? The Man gives us February because it's the shortest month of the year. It's also the coldest month of the year, just in case we wanted to have a parade." True dat.
I loved Steve Martin and Candice Bergin as hosts (can you tell I'm old school)... Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood, Linda Richman, Dieter..... and Stefon. Ah, the good ole days.
