Does this asswipe say that he is going to heaven? Someone should tell him since he is oh so picky about any kind of lie, "since you are an actor, even in your religious movies, you portray someone that isn't you, wouldn't that be gasp! lying?" You're going to hell Fuckface!
I happened to cruise the channels one day, when I caught one of those movies he does. Hilarious. There was this part where and he and some other guy were confronting another guy because apparantly the guy had walked out of some sermon or something. Kirk and asshole #2 ask the guy if he thinks he is going to heaven. Apparantly, the end of the world or some shit was about to go down. The guy answers yes, because he had been a good guy. Then asshole#1 & 2 start with their crap of "have you ever lied?, have you ever sinned?" and of course, saying then you will go to hell unless you accept Jesus. If you're Christian already, doesn't that mean you have already accepted him? I hate that goddamn mentality that if you don't accept Jesus, you are going to hell. So I guess just Christians have their tickets at least partially guaranteed for heaven. Right. God forbid you are Hindu, or Jewish![/sarcasm]

Kirk and his ilk are definetely not Catholic. I think you will find that Catholics are right behind liars on their list-of-people-who-are-going-to-hell. Catholics, for their part, have spent centuries burning people who tried to interpret the Bible literally and without the aid of the priesthood as heretics. I used to think that was way over the top but lately, I'm kind of seeing their point.

Yeah, Catholicism has two different kinds of sin - veneal & mortal. The basic rule is "Not all sin is equal". If you murder someone, it's waaaaaay worse than lying, for example. Kirk seems to have the opposite view, which kinda scares me. Also the Catholic teaching on non-Catholics being "saved" is: You can certainly be "saved" (i.e. assured of a place in Heaven) and not be a Catholic if you for example "Keep Natural Law" which is the essence of the ten commandments: respect of God, family, society, and property. Also you don't have to be a Catholic if you follow honest and virtuous conduct. Basically, you don't have to be Catholic at all! According to Kirk, even Mother Theresa herself is going to Hell because she was a different relegion.

Mother Teresa wasn't exactly the saint they make her out to be-refusing pain killers for her patients at her hospitals, cozying up to dictators and then making sure that SHE got the best treatment at the best hospitals.
Oscar Romero, on the other hand, should have gotten the Nobel Peace Prize.
Anyhoo, the Left Behind books are very anti-Catholic. I mean, I'm no longer a practicing Catholic, but geeze, from what I've read, they seriously do NOT understand Catholicism.

I think it just helps him come to terms with being a complete and utter failure in life. Face it, he's just impressionable as all hell. If a Neo-Nazi sect had gotten to him during that certain time the latter seasons of Growing Pains would have been full of swastikas and Iron Crosses. Cameron is just an insecure elitist chump who wants to use some external force that holds him in a higher regard than anybody else. And considering he could have assumed that acting in a shittily written and hokey-as-all-hell show could have elevated his untalented ass, this shows he has serious issues that only a violent beating could cure.

*standing ovation*
I was raised Catholic (although not strictly by any stretch of the imagination) and went to school with a lot of Kirkles-type fundies. Whenever it was discovered that I was Catholic, I'd often get: "Oh--so you're not a Christian?" Idiots.
Do these Kirk movies air on the same channel that features the lady with purple/pink hair? I have a morbid curiosity to check one out.

Eeek-I caught that "Way of the Master" show late last night with Kirk and that other guy (he's got a British or an Aussie accent, can't tell which), and it was hysterical. They kept asking people, "Do you use Bible tracts?" And everyone does! They keep saying, "oh, they work, I just say, 'did you get one of these?' and people take them and read them!"
Of course, what these morons fail to realize is that a lot of people are like me-they take the tracts home and make fun of them.

Oh God yes. Well, I haven't seen them but I remember the VHS tapes being in my local Meijer a few years back, around the time Sci-Fi was airing Black Scorpion. Why do I remember that when recounting Bibleman? Easy: the suits looked the same. Ponder that for a while. Anyway, if anybody has these Bibleman tapes and are willing to throw me some, throw me a pm. I really want to see how atrocious this things are. I think even with the suits they'll be a match for Way of the Bastard Master.

I have seen Bibleman and sadly, it's much more entertaining and less dogmatic than the Way of the Master. Did you see E True Hollywood story about Growing Pains? (I know, fascinating). Apparently, when Kirk found Jesus, he also found his inner asshole.
