We should start a thread for the Trinity Broadcasting Network, or just for Televangelism in general, in the Televison forum.
I heard that in one of the "Left Behind" books, the Pope has to convert or else he goes to Hell.

I was sent home last week by my doctor to rest a leg injury, stopped into my office to grab some stuff and my colleague told me to visit this website while I was at home recovering. He tried to use Kirk Cameron as a selling point. If I wasn't in so much pain I'd have laughed in his face.

The logic of the stuff on that site is pretty funny. It gives advice on how to witness to various groups who don't believe in the scriptures. Their advice is to quote scripture passages at them which say they are wrong. You don't believe in The Ten Commandments? According to the Ten Commandments, that means you'll go to hell, so you'd better believe in them!
And all the taking things literally, oy! Note to Kirk: "taking God's name in vain" does not mean using the expression "Oh my God", it means doing evil things in God's name.

I took the quiz ages ago. I have a pretty broad view of spirituality; basically I believe in everything, just to err on the side of safety. I know, I know. Eastern religions, Judeo-Christian traditions, I am curious about them all. Since I was raised by a Jewish father and an Irish Catholic mother, I pretty much run the gamut.
Of course, I also have a sense of humor about these things, and, you know, strength and half a brain, so The Way of the Master made me laugh my feakin' ass off. My favorite part (besides Kirkles overwhelming charisma and beautiful acceptence of all God's creatures...and his excellent use of his hands when speaking) was when he asked if you believe in a benevolent God who sends every soul to heaven and wouldn't cast anyone into hell. Then it says, "You're right, your God wouldn't cast anyone into hell BECAUSE HE DOESN'T EXIST!"
Oh, Kirkles. Kirkles, Kirkles, Kirkles.

Oh, yeah! I had forgotten about that bit. "You think God is basically a nice guy? Well, you're wrong! Your "God" doesn't exist, you idol-worshipper! The REAL God is a flaming butthole like Kirkles over here!"
I think I would rather go to hell than spend eternity with Kirk's God.

I dont' know why but I find that parts scary. I can almost picture Kirkles (*giggles*) saying that to me before slashing my throat for being a sinner. *shudders*
If I had a name like Kirkles I would be crazy too.

According to the Left Behind types, Catholics are evil. Yeah, I don't get it either.
Except, of course, he loves Passion of the Christ as a witnessing tool. Dude, do you realize that it's a Catholic film, made by a man so Catholic even the Pope is too liberal for him?
