Not mean at all - it's the first thing I thought when I saw the poor return on Tomorrowland. And then I thought, I hope they are leaked!

And I hear one more person compare to someone like Jackie Kennedy or even Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, I'm going to scream. Both of those women had style (even if you didn't like it, you have to admit they did)....but Amal, just no. It's funny you should say this, because if I was going to compare the hype surrounding Amal to anyone, it would be Carolyn Bessette Kennedy. Like Amal, I felt Carolyn looked good and often made some good fashion choices, but it seemed to me that the media felt the need to build her up into some groundbreaking fashionista mainly because of her partner's perceived desirability. Carolyn was in the fashion industry, but I remember a few different profiles quoting friends and acquaintances of hers, saying she wasn't really that into fashion.

I agree to a certain extent. She had timless style. Hell you see pics of her now and her style doesn't look dated. What always made me wtf was people proclaiming her as beautiful. Homegirl like Amal, was a horse.

Amal's clothing seems too "try hard." Direct off the designer's runway. Nothing interesting. No personal touches or sense of style. It's all so stiff. And she is stiff.
And Clooney is looking older and older. It seems like an odd coupling.
Add to that... the media keeps trying to make them happen as some sort of super couple and HER happen as some sort of feminist icon. But icons don't need to try to hard. They just do what they do and kick ass.

I am convinced that George Clooney has the primo dirt on everyone in town from execs to journalists to actors. I don't really know any other reason why people fawn all over him to the extreme that they do.

Right? I cannot understand all the ass kissing and especially the spin of the world's supposed devastation that he was getting married. Wtf?

Very chic and stylish; however, she looked like a cyclops.... eyes on the side of her head.

She once wrote that her eyes were too far apart amongst other things. I think both Jackie O and Carolyn B. were, while not beautiful, very attractive and striking (probably in part due to personal style and grooming). Plus they both had a certain gravitas and je ne sais quoi, that Amal just does not have. It's weird though because Jackie O's sister Lee looked a lot like Jackie but was in my opinion the beautiful one.

I think that in some cases, like Jackie O and Princess Diana, style and/or charisma enhances natural attractiveness and creates beauty. I find that preferable to beauty that is based only on having the right features in the right proportions, but without any kind of spirit or soul of beauty. This, however, is quite rare and I don't either Carolyn Bessette or Amal Clooney had/have it. Grace Kelly might have been the rarest of them all in that she had physical beauty, style, and a spirit that took what could have been a standardized type of beauty and made it much more interesting. I cannot believe the fawning people do over his wife, nor do I get the hype. Yes, she may be a great barrister ( I wouldn't know ) but she is in no way any kind of style icon. And she doesn't warrant all of the attention she is getting just because she is now married to George Clooney. I find the media obsession with her completely bizarre. And I hear one more person compare to someone like Jackie Kennedy or even Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, I'm going to scream. Both of those women had style (even if you didn't like it, you have to admit they did)....but Amal, just no. There's definitely this thing that happens where if you date/marry the "Sexiest Man Alive," you suddenly become a beauty and icon. It's happened to several of Brad Pitt's partners in addition to Carolyn and Amal. Somehow the idea of being "ordinary" and managing to be with one of these "unattainable" men does not compute for the media.
