He's 42 and married and the new girlfriend is 24. How pathetic.

Ever since Kate talked about baking and wearing high heels all the time to be a good wife, I thought the marriage was doomed. (See p. 10 of this thread.) I'm amazed it lasted 9 more years. What's with these actresses wanting to play submissive wifey to slimy losers who are beneath them? (See also: Kaley Cuoco.)
Anyway, Kate Beckinsale has basically been rendered obsolete by Felicity Jones. I only hope Felicity doesn't get terrible implants, cover herself in five layers of spray tan and sign up for a cheap action movie franchise.

I sat next to Kate and her daughter at a nail salon a few weeks ago. She had her dog with her, and we made small talk about his/her adorableness. Anyway, she was very nice and unassuming (and pretty).
That's all I got.

Whenever I saw them together, I was always reminded of an interview where she marveled at how "handsome" he was and said she didn't historically date such attractive guys. It’s like she didn’t know she was the better-looking half of that couple!
Also, I’m surprised she hasn't explored TV yet. It could help rejuvenate her career, which has seemed stagnant for a while.

She really isn't acting very much, I am always amazed how celebrities maintain a lifestyle especially in LA. Anyways I have always thought her to be pretty but she hasn't done much since Pearl Harbor.

I just looked at IMDB, and she has done about 20 movies since Pearl Harbour and has two coming out this year. Not prolific, but it could support her, if she manages her money well.

She does the "Underworld" movies about every three years, and I'm sure being attached to a franchise like that (even if it's not "Hunger Games" level of popularity) has a pretty nice paycheck attached to it. Combine that with the smaller films she does, and I'm sure if you're smart with your finances, it's a VERY nice living, even for LA. Los Angeles is pricy, but it's still a heck of a lot cheaper than New York.
Plus she was married to a pretty successful/constantly working director-producer, so I'm sure she didn't even have to spend much of her earnings during his marriage, so that probably helps, too.
Having said all that, I'm also fascinated at how so many B/C-list celebs manage to support themselves even after the marquee roles have dried up. It always reminds me of hearing a story about Lou Bega (of "Mambo No. 5" remake infamy). How, following the success of that song, he couldn't score another hit, but it didn't matter. Because he made a nice bundle from that one song, and because he was smart about his money, he invested it in real estate and was able to live quite comfortably even after his musical success was long past.
I imagine having even just a few (or in Lou's case, one) big hits in music/film/TV can afford a person a small window of financial freedom to either spend it away or capitalize on the wealth by investing in things like stock/real estate/whatever and keep the income stream coming even after their 15 minutes of fame are up.

Yeah, as long as you don't go crazy and blow your wad, you can coast for many years long after your "peak" in Hollywood. I'm sure Kate can pull a low seven figure paycheque for those Underworld movies plus whatever she makes on her other projects, which is way more than the vast majority of us will ever make. The dresses and accessories she wears for red carpet events are all borrowed and any work-related travel would be paid for by the studio. As long as she doesn't let herself go, she can get those dresses without any problem.
Like fellow Brit Kate Winslet, Kate Beckinsale is really stuck in a style rut. I swear she wears the same silhouette every time.

I did not need to see Kate making out with Pete Davidson on my Twitter this morning. *yeesh*
I do not understand this at all. At all.
