They should have done the souless Sam thing in Season three, after he was resurrected the first time. I don't get why demons could pull a soul from heaven. Ash said he'd seen Sam in heaven in Dark Side Of The Moon, so I assume that's where he went after Jake killed him.

Yeah, I remember the YED taunting Dean by asking if he was sure the man he brought back was 100% Sammy. They never really explored that statement unless you count Sam getting uber militant after Gabriel killed Dean 80 million times- and then going fairly darkside and demon blood addicted after Dean actually did go to Hell. But they seemed to play it off that the circumstances of Sam being unable to save Dean are what made him go evilish (and the demon blood made him do it, etc) They never revisited the idea that Sam might not have been 'all there' when he was resurrected the first time.
Not until Season Six when he had to be resurrected again and this time came back Soulless. I LOVED Soulless Sam (and still miss him, esp since they're doing nothing interesting at all so far with Demon Dean) And I think he worked in the Sixth Season. I'm not sure the Show had developed enough that it could have effectively done the Soulless thing in Season three- but you're right about the circumstances after Jake killed him being ripe for that potential plot. Esp. after what the YED said.

It's been renewed for an eleventh season.
When will it end?

It won't. Plot twist: we're in purgatory and this is our punishment.

But according to the show, Purgatory is ridiculously easy to get in and out of... So how does this keep happening?!?!?!

Season 11? But I thought crossroads deals only lasted ten years.

Castiel is just gonna let a teenage girl wander America?!?!?!!? What a shitty dad/angel/adult. She's a fucking child. She didn't even comprehend what those shitbags in that house were going to do with her before Dean slaughtered them all! Her line about whatshisface ( Roan?) maybe would have come and saved her proved that. Gah!
Looks like Crowley is no match for his mum. She's gonna eat him for breakfast.

Who were those people Claire met? Were they vampires or demons? If not, why were they so eager to murder a complete stranger on the say-so of some random teenaged girl they just met?

I just realized I didn't even finish that ep. Whoops. GodDAMN, I hate Crowley's mother. Accent: awful. Makeup: hideous. Annoying factor: through the roof. And Charlie's supposed to come back? Way to make me hate you even more, Show.

I wondered what the heck the creepy couple were too. Working for Crowley would have been great, secret angel agents wanting to play Castiel's hand also would have had possibilities, random hunters with grudges against the Winchesters, Vampires, Ghouls or any other assorted Supernatural oogies would have been way more interesting than what they were. Which was... I dunno, random bad people looking for an excuse to use a bat outside of baseball.
Otherwise- who casually listens to some runaway teen complain about how a guy KILLED their father and then that guy's BFF came along and KILLED their new father? Very few people- even bad people- would sit there sipping beers and playing pool and going 'Wow, that sucks!' to such very specific tale of woe. Esp. if said runaway is still taking phone calls from these MURDERERS and thinking she should maybe listen to what they have to say.
Bad, BAD writing. (And boring ta boot!)
