Is there really anything he can say that will be surprising? Well, except that John never had sex with a man!

At this point Travolta should just go ahead and save himself a world of trouble and come out as bi (seeing as he could be bi or to protect his clam marriage). Then no one can make money by exposing his secrets, just like with Angelina's former dealer releasing a video of her high - the whole world went "Yeah...and? She's already admitted to doing hard drugs, so who cares?"
But he won't. The Gay is a big no-no in Scientology, and they won't let one of their highest profile members come out. And if he leaves the church, Kelly would disconnect from him and would probably take their children with her, so he's kinda boned here. I feel sorry for him and I want to slap him at the same time - all the stories of him groping massage therapists indicate he's not handling the closest all that well.

It's one thing to be closeted, it's another thing entirely to be groping and sexually harassing men who aren't interested in your attention. In a way it's almost like he can't help himself so I wonder if on some level he wants the truth out there? It must be a heavy burden to live a lie and risk getting cut off from your family. Although surely the Sci's wouldn't risk the bad publicity of allowing Kelly and the kids to disconnect because he's gay? Because the Sci's are certainly not homophobic. Nuh-huh!

If Jett were still alive, could John be able to take Jett with him since Jett would be legally an adult? Then John could have gotten Jett some appropriate support and treatment for Jett's "issues". Maybe John should have consulted secretly with Katie Holmes on how to leave a clam marriage with your kids. (Checkmate!)

I do feel that the reason he stays is because of his children. There is no way that Kelly would stay with him over the church. Leah Remini was really lucky in that regards. Most of her immediate family chose to stick with Leah instead of shunning her.

He might have been able to take Jett, but I don't know if he could have gotten custody of all three. And since Jett would be a legal adult by now, he couldn't just haul him out of there.

I would assume that John would have to leave behind Ella and the youngest boy. Maybe John could have petitioned for guardianship over Jett. (Was there any indication of how functional ly autistic Jett was?) ETA: Auroranorth - If John joined Scientology in 1977, he would have had a lot going on in his life: the death of his girlfriend Diana Hyland, and the filming of Saturday Night Fever, which was released later that year. When did he film Grease, 1977 or 1978?

I honestly don't know what you do in that situation. On the one hand, you have a child who needs special care, but can you abandon the other child? Ella would have been nine when Jett died. Would John have been able to write off seeing her again? (The younger boy was born in 2010, so he's only four now. I missed that the first time around.)
And unlike Katie Holmes, John's got serious history in Scientology. He's been in since 1977. They know way too much for him to walk away, I'm guessing.
I was reading something that said that seizures are not unusual among people with autism. Apparently, Jett was having seizures every five to ten days.

I think she was raised in it.
