Men or women acquaintinces?
I've heard a million times that Travolta is ragingly gay in private. But maybe that's just an offshoot from the Tommy rumor, since they're both insane cult members and it's widely believed $cientology is holding their secrets over them as blackmail to stay in the COS.

Do you even have to ask? And Travolta's gay rumors have been around long before Tom's. (that if I can call them rumors, because I'm sure he is 100% gaygaygay).

I was just about to ask the same thing. So gay. This Scientology cover up is just utterly fascinating.

Travolta really confuses me, because I thought he was truly in love with that actress who died (the one who played his mother in the "Boy in the bubble" tv movie), but I can also buy the gay rumors.
But I guess human sexuality is really fluid if you think about it, so I guess both can be true.

One of them is an Iowa-raised farm boy. Another one who just flew for him a few times has a ranch in Odessa. Neither of them stayed around long. The one who has been flying full-time for him for a couple of years was seen in the background of the Hurricane Katrina episode of Oprah unloading foodstuffs from the plane. He has finally gotten tired of JT's oddness (I guess the lip-kissing was one thing, but being asked to taste the food from his fork crossed the line). I have been waiting to hear some Scientology gossip or Oprah dish, but never have. I did, however, hear that Tom Hanks was onboard for a trip somewhere (I forget where but I think it was for a WWII memorial event) and was a real asshole. I didn't post it at the time because I didn't think anyone would believe it since it's so counter to his image. Olivia Newton John, though, was wonderful and even signed a copy of Xanadu for said acquaintance.

Thanks for sharing softtissue! If you remember anything else, we'd love to hear it!
When would JT kiss them on the lips? Was it ever in front of his wife? The whole thing sounds so strange. I'm almost sure JT is gay, moreso than I am with Tiny Tom.

The kissing was sort of like that Godfather greeting kind of thing. To the best of my knowledge, no tongue was involved (hee). I guess if you're Italian it's not so weird...or something...

But I guess human sexuality is really fluid if you think about it, so I guess both can be true. I've always kind of wondered if his relationship with Diana Hyland was almost maternal. But, yes, I do think he truly loved her (though who knows how that would've played out if she hadn't died so early on in their relationship), even if I also believe his sexual orientation is homosexual.

Yeah, I think that that was a very maternal relationship. John is gay, gay, gay. I wish that he could just be himself. He seems like a pretty nice person.

Apparently Travolta was considered for Bond. He says that he turned it down. Thank god! He would be so, so wrong for the role. He's just too beefy.
