Aw, I like John Travolta. I can't help it -- to me, he will always be Danny Zucko from Grease and Bud from Urban Cowboy. I even liked him in Look Who's Talking. I don't know much about what he is like PERSONALLY - I know he's married to Kelly Preston and they have kids, and I know he is a pilot. I know he is a Clam, which is uncool but not as bad as Tom. The only reason I even knew that is from this board, so I don't think he's shoving it down anyone's throat the way Tom Cruise does.
I have never heard of him being gay (I guess I'm just out of the loop on this one!).

Recently, a local radio personality was interviewing a stuntman who worked in Hollywood. The radio guy asked him something about how most people in Hollywood are percieved as gay. The guy laughed and said there are a lot of people who were gay or bi and it was something a straight, Midwesterner like himself had to get use to. Then he started into a story about how Travolta hit on him. Then the local personality cut him off and said "I don't want to get sued." I guess in Hollywood its open secret that's Travolta's gay.

What I like about Travolta, is that he isn't a crazy $cieno like Cruise is. He admits to being one, has his beliefs and really just leaves it that. (Thank God!)
To me, no matter what religion/cult/faith or whatever you belong to is fine. It's when you try and ram it down people's throats that bugs me to no end.
Travolta is a fun actor to watch, especially when I grew up having to watch Saturday Night Fever, Stayin' Alive and all those other clothes binding movies that my mother adored. Disco, baby!

He is fun to watch. He pretty much gets a pass from me for that one scene in "Get Shorty" where he walks up the staircase in the restaurant to kick James Gandolfini's butt. The man knows how to strut.

Yes, yes exactly. I don't know much about the whole Scientology thing, other than what I've read in the Cruise thread. I know it's not for me, but what do I care if John Travolta practices it? I'm not going to dislike him for it, esp when he has kept me entertained for so many years in his movies.

Sometimes when I read about his house in Florida, I almost feel sorry for his wife. Airports and residential areas don't mix, so it must be torture to live in a housing estate designed to allow people to land their jets and park them at their front door. And the jet that Travolta owns is an outmoded Boeing 707 commercial airliner considered way too noisy for most airports.

Oh, I like him too. For me he'll forever be Vinnie Barbarino and Todd (The Boy in the Plastic Bubble).
So if he is gay, what's the theory on his wife? Lesbian or they have an open door policy (as long as she keeps it quiet, she can see who she wants)?
