So I don't despise him as I believe he isn't a mean spirited person, but he does appear to be a completely narcissistic, immature ego maniac who wants to do what he wants to do whenever he wants to do it. Now Ashton Kutcher, this source said he was a complete a*hole (a very mean person). This.I don't think Mr. Affleck is completely without redeeming qualities. He's just a douchebag (not a malicious one, but a douchebag nonetheless). Oh, and that's some interesting tea about Ashton. If you have more, greekone, would you take it to his thread?

The most persistent rumours I've seen are about Olga Kurylenko. Lainey has as good as named her as the other woman. They worked together in 2010/11, then there were pretty strong rumours of a divorce in 2011, before Samuel was conceived. The internet tells me that Olga was in a relationship with Danny Hudson between 2012 and some point in 2014. I wouldn't be surprised if things have intensified again since then. I think Ben will continue to be "devastated" about the divorce for a month or two, and then we'll hear reports about how he's turned to his former co-star for support and has fallen for her. To be honest, I'd much rather that than him drowning in hookers and drugs for the next few months. Hasn't Lainey also suggested that there have been outside pregnancies? Possibly with Olga?

The kids are getting older. Maybe it wasn't brought on by Ben/Jen... what if the kids were starting to notice Ben's behavior? I could imagine that being enough to push Jen to end things. If Violet started to ask questions about her father's behavior/absence that might have made Jen go: Ok, what example am I setting for these kids? I honestly think it's this one. The older kids are getting to an age where the absence of their father/quality of his relationship with their mom could have been just...not what Jen could justify or allow her daughters to believe was acceptable. I'd guess it's a combination of that and a last straw of some kind, likely the "getting caught is Nova Scotia" incident. Ben clearly not stopping the objectionable behavior and the kids being old enough to notice/understand it. That said, I also don't think she'd tolerate a love child.

And the PR press continues...pictures of them in the Bahamas. Still wearing his ring, I see. Don't know why. It's not as if he respected the institution.

Those pictures look like they were taken at an exit therapy session on the beach.

I am not sure I agree that Garner put her career on hold for him. She was a B list actress at best and througout the years they were married she worked steadily. She took ion small, secondary roles that didnt require as much committment on her part but she was selective in her choices because she could afford to be once she was married to Ben. Her marriage gave her plenty of publicity and she didnt need to take crappy roles just to remind casting agents that she was still around which is a mistake many actresses make. I also agree that she's a better actress than him. I quite liked her in Dallas Buyers Club. She showed depth and vulnerability in that role, something no director, however talented, has been able to extract froom wooden Ben. I don't think she put it consistently on hold (you're definitely right about that), but it seems like she wasn't working as much as soon as Ben Affleck's career began taking off again. She's slowed down, but I do think she has a good work ethic, and will take what she thinks are good parts, no matter how small (unlike, say, Gwyneth, who I tend to think is lazy as all hell about work, having been born to a life of privilege). If Ben Affleck is indeed Bristol Palin's baby daddy, everything, forever, will be instantly forgiven, even Gigli.

I do think Jennifer put her career on hold. In the past several years she's mostly taken supporting roles in independent movies that don't take very long. That's a far cry from the days of starring in Alias and big action movies at the same time.
The only time I can recall in their marriage when Jennifer did something that required the family to relocate & Ben to not work/assist her with childcare for a significant period of time was when she did Cyrano on Broadway.

Let's be completely honest though, would she be getting leading roles in big movies if she hadn't had children or been married to Ben Affleck? I think she's actually got the same kind of career now that she would have had if she had stayed single/childless or had kids with a more low profile man. Let's not re-write history, a la Fishstick's tales of her mother having had the chance to be the most famous and successful actress ever, but giving it all up to raise children.
Lainey has put up another (not at all) blind item, saying that the problem is hard drugs, and I presume she's hinting at heroin. Like I said previously, I'd much, much rather the scandal involve another, or even multiple, women. If Lainey's right then I don't want to see this.
