Her new movie looks so stupid. I mean, I'll probably go see it, but using our brain's full potential turns you into a time-travelling shape-shifter? As if a young, beautiful, big boobed blonde needs more power in this world!

Lucy is the #1 movie with $44 million. I've heard it was different than advertised, which may make it a one-weekend wonder, but it's another good showing for women at the box office.

Yeah, I posted about how stupid this movie looked higher up on this very page, but I am legitimately happy about this movie doing well. Men have had a monopoly on stupid-looking action movies that I still go to see for far too long. Theoretically, it should be getting harder and harder for Hollywood to give diverse films with substanstial female roles a shot, but I'm sure they are finding new ways. Incidentally, what have you heard about the differences? I'm planning on seeing this in a few hours, but haven't read any reviews because I felt like the trailer gave more than enough of the story away.

I've just seen comments that Lucy isn't non-stop action like you'd think, and it's similar to Tree of Life in some ways.

Well, it is a lot of action, but it was pretty good. Surprisingly funny. Scarlett was really good in this. I liked it. I'm hlad it was number one.

I thought the first 2/3s of it was good and then it kind of fell apart. It was beautifully shot though.
