Aww, I found her so cute and endearing. Maybe it's because I'm 31 years old, old as fuck but she seemed so unformed and confessional back then (like many at that age I suppose) and I find her transformation as an artist to be very fascinating. Her record company has certainly churned out a successful product, that's most certain, but I have no desire to listen to the music of the 2014 version of Katy Perry. I could probably listen to 17 year old Katy Hudson play the guitar for a set.

I did think she was cute, but at the same time kind of annoying, which is actually the same way I feel about current-day Katy. And yes, her transformation is crazy!

Bringing this over from another thread (Carrie Underwood)... An interesting wrinkle...the Wall Street Journal reports that the NFL wants the halftime act to pay to play, or, more delicately phrased, "be willing to contribute a portion of their post-Super Bowl tour income to the league, or if they would make some other type of financial contribution". You know, because the NFL is so hard-up for money. The WSJ is reporting the final three choices are Coldplay, Rihanna and Katy Perry, who have all reportedly had a "chilly" response to this idea. Apparently something must have changed. Katy Perry Will Be Your Super Bowl Halftime Entertainment

She was on ESPN College GameDay last weekend for the Bama/Ole Miss game, which was bizarre. She picked Ole Miss to win and seemed overjoyed with their victory. Maybe she just has a newfound interest in football? Apparently she was out and about in Oxford, MS bars celebrating after the game.

I want her to date Tim Tebow next since he also went out with Taylor Swift. I don't think they were together that long, but I want to see if there will be anymore back and forth between Swift and Perry on Twitter and in the media if it happens.

Or she could date Aaron Rodgers since he and Taylor also reportedly dated... that seems more likely than Tebow, although she does have that Christian music past, so maybe they could bond over that.

Apparently, her manager went to Ole Miss and her tour was in the general region...if she's really doing the halftime show, the GameDay appearance was probably an icebreaker of sorts with more hardcore football fans.

Well, that situation certainly seems less than ideal. She really does go for the fixer-uppers, doesn't she?
