I remember the first time I noticed Jen Garner was when she was on that show Time of Your Life (or something like that) with Jennifer Love Hewitt. I remember thinking who is this actress with such perfect bone structure and luminous complexion. I feel like we're in a select club because I've always thought she was stunning and don't get it when people call her plain or even ugly. I get that she's got a girl-next-door vibe, but, in regards to her appearance, she always seemed very movie-starrish to me. I always thought her skin was gorgeous. And I was envious of her body when she was in Alias shape (not that she looks terrible now - she looks fine. But I dug the muscle tone she had going on during that time). She's not exotically gorgeous and her eyes are kinda small, but she's very very pretty and she's aging very well.

I've always thought that Neutrogena made a brilliant move when they hired her to be one of their spokeswomen. Her skin is gorgeous. She does a good job in those Capital One ads, too (i.e. I don't lunge for the remote whenever I see/hear her during ad breaks).

I get that she's got a girl-next-door vibe I think when she was Hanna on Felicity, her looks were de-emphasized in comparison with Keri Russell's, but deep down I could tell she was cute. Isn't J.J. Abrams directing Star Wars now? Maybe he can cast her if there is another movie in that franchise.

I though she was in The Normal Heart, but I realized I was getting her mixed up with Julia Roberts. Jen played much the same part in The Dallas Buyers Club, right? And now that I think about it, at this stage of their careers these two might be vying for the same roles.

This sounds like a Lifetime movie. Hope her agent is working on some better gigs for her.

Not Jen-related, but it's interesting to see the casting call in that article. $100 for 8 hours of work seems like not very much, especially if you are a medical professional.

I get $320/hr for a deposition. I wouldn't waste my time with that. But I guess if you want to be in the movies here's your opportunity.

Open casting calls like that are just for movie extras. It's not a way in really. There are some films in NYC that don't pay extras at all. I've also seen some re-enactments for discovery ID that pay only $50.
