All of these assholes berating celebrity parents constantly need to STFU.
Ryan Reynolds, your daughter isn't positioned correctly in her baby carrier. David Beckham, a 3-year-old is too old for a pacifier. Eddie Redmayne, stop pushing your kid in a stroller you aren't bonding properly. And it happens whether the celebrities post on social media or not. People think they have the right to give their opinions on anything they see.
David Beckham rightly said that it wasn't anybody's business, but his 3-year-old was sick and they got out her old pacifier because it makes her feel better.
Eddie Redmayne has taken the whole year off to be with his newborn, and has been seen out with his kid nearly every day since she was born - how dare people criticize him for using a stroller.
The only time the parental criticism was ever warranted was when Britney was driving with her baby on her lap. Unless a kid is in danger or being abused, all of these know-it-alls on the internet need to mind their own business about other people's parenting. That goes for celebrities and regular people.

I am loving the idea that David and Victoria Beckham have a drawer filled with outgrown baby things that they just haven't gotten around to getting rid of yet. It is the opposite of everything I ever imagine about celebs. No 'people' have taken care of it and there is a 'drawer' somewhere in what I always pictured as an immaculate white glass and marble home. My 'drawer' right now has scissors and all the box tops for education I've collected over the summer. A couple of pet brushes, a half packet of basil seeds, etc. Victoria has a drawer. I'm dying. Topic- a single photo captures a millisecond in time. There could be so many things before and after that image, and without knowing what happened in those moments I don't think I get to judge. The majority of photographic evidence indicates that Harper is a delightful, well behaved little girl who is the apple of her father's eye and is equally adored by her mother. And her brothers, for that matter. What's wrong with that, exactly?

And her brothers, for that matter. What's wrong with that, exactly? This is what makes me think highly of Victoria and David Beckham. Their kids seem so grounded and happy and well adjusted. They're not walking misery like North West and pre-divorce Suri Holmes. I want to repeat that I saw nothing wrong with the picture. But I grew up Southern Baptist and my family is all still very Evangelical and I know they'd think the picture was slightly sexual and inappropriate. I said this in another thread recently, but my sister-in-law discouraged my nieces from liking Ariel in all the Disney princess business because her shell bikini top was "immodest." She'd probably be the type to express disapproval of the picture in question. My youngest niece is 10.5 and still has constant temper tantrums worthy of a three year old because she's learned that's the key to always getting her way, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say I think Victoria and David are probably better parents than my brother and SIL.

We did the same thing with our daughter's paci. Every time we tried to help her stop using it, she'd get sick and we'd give it back to her. She eventually gave it up on her own.
The Beckhams do seem like good parents. I can't help but like them.

My family is a "kiss on the lips" family. In fact, I still kiss my mom on the lips and my adult daughters still kiss me on the lips. While I knew that wasn't the norm in all families, it never occurred to me that anyone would object to parents kissing their preschoolers on the lips until I read comments on the Internet criticizing a celebrity dad for kissing his 2 year old daughter.
This cannot be said enough.

Victoria can't win no matter what she does. David cheats? It's her fault. She shows affection to one of her kids in public? She's doing it wrong.
The amount of criticism thrown at her over the years has astonished me. I remember hearing about her being at one of David's matches, (with one of her kids, IIRC), and the 'fans' were shouting about her supposed sex acts in bed.
There were times I was surprised she went out in public at all.

There were times I was surprised she went out in public at all. Not that I'm defending the people who were shouting trashy things, but could she even hear them from the Fancy People seats? I've never been to a sports event, so I have no idea how the seating chart works.

She definitely heard it. It was a chant/song that large groups of people used to chant in unison at the stadium for the purpose of trying to get Beckham off his game. Posh talked about it to Ali G.
