I had forgotten those memories about Sapphyri, but I do remember her offering to share her "lip chap" with the contenstant she had just assaulted, and also praying something like,"Please God, don't make me have to beat this bitch's ass."

Yeah, even Access Hollywood is making fun of them for the same reasons The Washington Post is. They were setting up a segment where they interviewed the couple, and one of the hosts was like, "If they want the media to back off, why are they doing interviews with us?"
I mean, damn.
But they're right. In the interview the two were going on about tabloids, her social media habits, how much they want to get along with his ex but they can't. They seem super negative with this attitude that they're being victimized by the media, his ex, the random people on Twitter... basically by the entire world.

Also from the article:
How would you watch reality show featuring LeAnn and Eddie if you knew nothing about their backstory?
Did Brandi really cheat first?
There's a real story there, instead of this LeAnn and Eddie vs. Brandi and the world nonsense. Had LeAnn been locked into a crappy contract when she was young like the singer JoJo ("Leave (Get Out)")? At least JoJo's moving on and she's recording new music. What is LeAnn doing with her music?

No, something weird is going on there. I know she sued to get out of a record contract she signed as a minor 10 or so years ago, and that happened, I think, but then she entered into a new contract with the same record label. So, did she sue her label to get out of a contract twice? ETA: Here's what she said in an interview... VICESo, I have no clue. Wiki is saying she got out of the original contract in 2001 and then resigned with the same label...

Didn't it have something to do with her dad? The initial contract he signed on her behalf because she was underage. And she sued to get out of it, saying that wasn't legal. I might be misremembering though.

Or just not re-signing with them. Either way, it sounds like her sales weren't making either side happy and there wasn't much resistance from either side about cutting ties.

From Allmusic.com:Of course, it doesn't specify whether she sued to get out of her contract or not, but apparently her last album fulfilled her end of the contract. Forget Lindsay Lohan; I want to see LeAnn get a comeback award (for singing, that is). ETA: Inspired (stunt) casting would be to have LeAnn involved in a remix of this song/video.

Well, for the last five years she's been better known for her personal life than her singing, so I can see why the record label was willing to let her go. Her last top 40 hit was in 2008.

Well, as a reality show slut - of course I watched it! But for as ridiculous as it is for them to go this route, they still come off miles ahead of Tori and Dean (lowww bar, I know) who seem to always be one step away from a murder-suicide or something. I've always been assuming that LeAnn has fertility issues because I can't believe she's self-aware enough to know that babies don't help when there are problems (just ask Tori and Dean). But now it looks like it'll be a storyline. Ahh well, it's better than actually having the babies! Your Tori/Dean line gave me cramps. Well done! Lol.
