And the woman he goes off with to D.C. neither falls helplessly, hopelessly and irretrievably in love with him or becomes a raging temptress-slut who moves heaven and earth to ensnare him.
I love this show.

I shouldn't have been surprised in the least, but my breath caught in my throat when Ben appeared in the house Leslie thought she was saying goodbye to. So sweet -- Adam Scott and Amy Poehler have awesome chemistry. I have to say, though, that I find myself wanting to slap April just about every time she opens her mouth, so I would've been shocked as hell if Ben had made a move on her. The scenes between Ron and Diane (and Andy and Diane's kids, usually) have been great.

Oh, I loved it. The thing about this show that always gets me is how they are able to take the ridiculous and make it sweet and touching.

Patton Oswalt's Star Wars filibuster on P&R. Funniest thing. Needed that today after the ridiculousness of the MSM's coverage of the Boston bombing.

When we watched these last night I realized that one of the things I love about this show is that I don't get the feeling of dread when they embark on a new adventure like some sitcoms. You know that things won't always go as expected, but it's not like you're waiting for it all to totally suck for the main characters, which is what other shows rely on. I just feel like I can sit back and enjoy the show and the silliness. I've said it before but I love the tone that Amy P has struck with this show.

It's so good to have the show back! I think my favorite parts were the little bits of Donna Meagle. And Jerry and Jean-Ralphio and Chris and Anne and Andy and Ron and Leslie's itinerary for Ron and Aprl's letter to Leslie. This show is like a big, warm, hilarious hug.

I loved Jerry inadvertently causing Leslie grief - it's about time he gets some payback.
Loved Ron's whiskeyquest.

This show continues to surprise me. Andy met the British upper crust version of himself. Those two are going to be fun to watch.

Much to my embarrassment, I just posted in the Community thread about Parks and Rec. Fortunately, Alexis Machine caught me before I made any bigger of a fool of myself. Anyway, except for Sam Elliot (and his character's interactions with Ron), I thought this week's ep was shrill and annoying.
