Fortunately? Yeah, thank God she never had the option to send her kids to a great school. Whew! Dodged a bullet there.
Yes, what a sad story. What a sad MADE UP story!
Jon had women coming out of the woodwork, and Kate is the one who will make up an affair story? It's just our dear GWOP ladies trying to tie Kate to each and every news story because they can't stop thinking about her. I think we can add Tiger to their Kate/lesbian/bodyguard orgy fantasies!

Silver platter. The expression is silver platter, not golden. Idiots!

I really can't believe the amount of anger they feel at so common and mundane a situation.
I lived in the country so it was an hour long bus ride for me to get to high school, about 45 minutes to get to middle school, and about half an hour for elementary school. I might have had more free time with a shorter ride, but I don't remember feeling too strongly about it one way or another. I certainly didn't feel like my whole life was being taken over by the commute.
Not so for The Big Wooden Spoon, whose daughter's free time was tragically, devastatingly cut short by a whopping 35 minute ride each way.
Was her daughter's bed time at 6:30 in the the evening or something? How does losing one hour and ten minutes out of each day lead to life of only school, dinner, homework, and sleep? I know GWOPpers always lay it on thick, but give me a break.
Tami strongly disagrees with a reasonable anonymous user.
It's just not right that most kids are living more than ten minutes away from a school. Parents, stop doing things the reasonable way just because "someone else did that"! Sell your homes and move your kids within walking distance of a school, stat!
I'm starting to wonder if half of these GWOPpers have their trailers parked next to the jungle gym, or if they're living in abandoned portables.

I am a school bus driver in a rather large suburban school district. It is routine and common place for kids to have a bus ride of up to 45 minutes each way. Some get lucky and ride for just a few minutes but with a policy that allows for parents to choose to send the kids to any school in the district (not just 'neighborhood' schools), it does make for some longer rides. Plus we bus to school districts up to 20-25 miles away so those rides can be quite long. Nobody cares, its just the way it is. Apparently GWOPville is a tiny town and everyone lives within 1/2 mile of every school in it.

I know GWOPpers always lay it on thick, but give me a break. Sounds to me like The Big Wooden Spoon was a lazy mother. I, too, attended private school, although mine was a mere 20 minutes or so away so fortunately I haven't suffered permanent trauma from having my free time tragically eaten up. None of my school friends lived in my neighborhood and there weren't any public transportation options, and yet, somehow, I managed to socialize. How was this monumental feat accomplished, you ask? Why, my parents drove me to friends' houses or to an agreed upon hang-out place like the mall, and/or my friends' parents did the same. Apparently that was too much effort for The Big Wooden Spoon.

I had bus rides when I was young, but I never paid attention to how long they were. It was just how I got to school. I can't imagine these Gwopper kids are complaining about their 35-45 minute bus rides, or even measuring them that way. I bet those "lost" minutes mean that much more to GWOP moms because they measure everything in how many minutes they could be spending bitching and analyzing Kate instead.

I think that's their attempt at being clever, or of snarking on Kate...during the interview with Natalie Morales, she said something to the effect of giving her kids life on a gold platter if she could.

GWOP must be so mad that ROL, which TLC and Kate run, are all about Tiger Woods now. I guess they were wrong about ROL. Among other things.

What is the problem with kids going to private school or riding the bus? Somehow I think these same people are the ones who demanded to know why Kate didn't take the kids to church and make them sit through a 45 minute service.
Mom! Hey mom! Thanks for stealing my childhood by making me ride the bus! I never thought about it as a kid, but obviously it traumatized me. Thank god I went to public school like a 'normal' kid.
Dear she is evil, please explain why you, a bystander, would care how much Jon or Kate gets in the divorce and why you feel the dvision of assets should be so lopsided? Why would you, a bystander, wish harm on Kate Gosselin by declaring her evil?
Jesus, the Stansels are just trying to get by and are documenting the triumphs, because I suspect if they stopped it might feel like giving up and they want to keep a positive attitude and these horrible people can't spare a moment to think about the pain these people must be in and instead rush to find the most vile, hurtful things to say they can think of. I've never been so disgusted by them, and that is saying something.

Gotta love a woman commenting on the tups' developmental delays who can't spell "speech." Hope she's not planning to home school little Ella.
And then there's the GWOPper commenting on Kate's grammar...who doesn't seem to know that "language" is a singular word...
And here's some typical GWOP logic...
Kate said she wanted everything handed to her kids on a "gold" platter. Anji wants everything handed to her kids on a silver platter. It seems to me that Anji and Kate both want the same thing for their kids, so what exactly is Kate being damned for here? I'm pretty sure it's not Kate's fault that Anji's kid is headed for Afghanistan, but maybe I've missed something about Kate having a new career in the military.
