Alan Cumming just signed a three year deal with the show. Yay! More Eli! And I'll bet that means Peter is gonna run for Senate. While the show hasn't been renewed yet, TV By the Numbers is saying that a "reliable source" is telling them that CBS is close to renewing for two seasons. I hope that's true. TVBTN has actually been one of the nay-sayers, saying that all the awards in the world don't matter and TGW's numbers don't support a renewal, so it seems that for them to have a change of heart like that means that they have some reliable information.

Loved this episode. I don't mind at all that Alicia was in complete smackdown mode. Grandma as well as Kalinda deserved it. I'm sure it will all be good again between Alicia and Kalinda but I'm kinda looking forward to the Florrick battle. That is, if they can get Chris Noth to star on this show for more than five minutes.
Also, I noticed again how much I like Will. Not him as a person but the character the PTB have created. He's not perfect (he's dating Tammy for God's sake) and I've been more than once annoyed with his decisions. But I like that he's not supposed to be this God-like, perfect MAN that Alicia longs after. On any other show he'd be called McDreamy and everybody would talk about how he's the best lawyer and human being in the entire world.
I'm really looking forward to the next episode (and next season!).

I loved this episode too. Jackie deserved that smackdown. Kalinda did too, but I still felt bad for her. Alicia was the first person she allowed herself to really care about and it bit her in the ass. Granted, it was her own damn fault, but it still hurts.
I also love that no one on this show is painted as black or white. It is all shades of gray. Even Jackie and Peter have good qualities, or at least understandable reasons for why they do some of the things they do. The closest to a purely good character is Alicia, and she is dinged for how naive she can be, and she has discovered that the moral high ground can be a lonely place.

Yeah Kalinda did deserve Alicia's fury but I felt bad for her too. I am just sad because I loved their friendship. It was interesting, I thought Alicia was more emotional when she was laying into Kalinda then she was with Peter.
I agree that no one on the show is just good or evil but in the last 2 episodes they seem to be moving Jackie into righteous bitch category. I didn't understand what she meant when she said she knew what happened at Alicia's house. That part confused me.

I don't know what Jackie meant, but neither did Alicia, so I do not think she actually has any dirt outside of her imagined stuff, like taking Grace praying with her friend as some intimate lesbian moment. I kinda think she did it to see if she could spook Alicia, then she would know that Alicia has something to hide.
But I'm worried that if Alicia starts something with Will, Peter and Jackie will try to use it against her if they find out.
I want to know what Cary is up to. Some have speculated that he left Kalinda alone in his office on purpose, knowing she would snoop and discover that they were trying to nail the murder on Alicia's client. I kinda hope so. I'm tired of evil Cary with the chip on his shoulder about Alicia.

Sarah Silverman did a good job with her guest spot. But the end reveal of her husband as the killer because he was jealous? Way too heavy-handed for a show that usually does a good job of avoiding that kind of thing. And that opposing attorney was annoying as hell.
Looking forward to some Will/Alicia action next week.

Sarah Silverman was surprisingly not bad but the case was weird. On one hand it was pretty gruesome, the dude was castrated. But then they tried to make it humorous at the same time with the jokes about the shrinkage and the surprised reactions when the wife ended up kissing her husband. It just felt tonally off. I'm disappointed that Cary is not going back to Lockhart and Gardner. I thought that Cary actually had good chemistry with Diane. More that they played well off each other than sexual chemistry although hey why not that too? Also I hope for next season they lock down Chris Noth for more episodes. I don't really care for him but he plays such a key role, it felt like he should have been on more.

No comments on the season finale that aired Tuesday? I liked the meeting between Will and Peter, and thought the elevator scene with Alicia and Will was probably the best they could have done with it. Plus, Josh Charles. Yum.
