Speaking of Taylor Swift, like All Too Well this appears to be about Jake too. The Movie Star and MeI thought maybe people on social media were being too hard on him after the new version of All Too Well was released, but they probably weren’t being hard enough. I feel like someone needs to follow him around with a megaphone like Tim Meadows in Mean Girls and tell him to leave the young girls alone.

Would Rosie be considered an A-list still? She's barely worked in years. Not saying that I believe this rumour in any way, but I would consider her to be A list still, based on name recognition. Maybe a stretch, but I think most people know who she is, on first name alone. Or people of a certain age, maybe. 😝

Everyone is a-list in Blind Items. Otherwise no one cares.

How is it the girls fault that he sweeps them off their feet?! That account was really powerful and raw and totally captured how fucked up he is. It's a game to him.

Maggie Gyllenhaal lost me when she defended keeping James Franco on The Deuce after allegations about him came out. She did some serious mental gymnastics here.

He needs to come with a warning label. It looks like this was during 2016-17 productions of Sunday in the Park with George. There's a lot to contemplate in this essay. 1) How incredibly insecure he is. 2) How everyone around him caters to him. 3) How this woman's mentors and supervisors served her up to him. There's a lot that in the grey zone with this account. She's a good writer to be able to convey the complexities of that situation. I came away really hating him!

I'm not even sure that Jake is the worst person in the story. The mentor and the sister (Maggie I guess?) might actually be worse people than Jake. I was thinking the other day about DiCaprio and his penchant for dating young women. That along with this story makes me wonder - it's always said that celebs tend to stop maturing at the point when they become famous. I wonder how much that plays into these guys dating younger women? Is it solely about looks or are they just too insecure and immature to date a woman their own age? That's really what it seems like with Jake at least. That's not excusing the predatory aspects of his behavior, just that he seems like a very insecure person.

I think this might be about Marlee Matlin; I didn’t watch but am assuming William Hurt was part of the In Memorium segment.

I agree that it is probably Marlee Matlin. Although I am sure there are plenty of recognizable actresses that have suffered domestic abuse.
