He is cute, and I can see his appeal to the junior high crowd, but his voice sounds like a styrofoam take-out tray, and he has a severely, severely, effeminate annoying hairdo. Nevertheless he seems to be building up steam to be everywhere in the next six months, ala Hannah Montana. Will this prettyboy graduate into Zac Efron territory? Or is he just another Sprouse twin? I also found this site, which made me laugh (very NSFW). In my day we girlies could only squeal over pics in TigerBeat; these days young fans have more options.

Everyone keeps comparing this kid to Justin Timberlake. I have no idea why though. Justin could/can at least sing. And Justin at least looked like he had hit puberty so it seemed less weird when anyone over the age of 7 was screaming for him.

I could care less about this kid, but this is my favorite video ever. "I just want him to be one of our family!"

I seriously thought it was a girl singing the first time I heard one of his songs on the radio. Now, I just feel vaguely dirty and cougar-like when I hear him singing about tru wuv and his "baby".

I don't understand who this fetus is at all.
All I know about him is that he sounded terrible on that "We Are the World" remake, he's always trending on Twitter, and the fact that I don't get him at all and he looks like a fetus to me makes me feel old.

I liked Hanson back in 1997, so I guess I can't hate on anyone for liking the Bieber. However, I can't get past the fact that he's 16 and yet sings with the voice of a 12-year-old. I know boys tend to mature later, but I don't remember the Hansons sounding so high-pitched at that age. And none of the boys at my high school were like that, either.
He'll probably be one of those child stars who follows the Frankie Muniz path to aging. In other words, he makes for a cute kid now, but I can't see him retaining his good looks once puberty finally hits.

See, I thought he was no more than 12 years old. But I did love how on his birthday someone very clever on Twitter said, "Oooh! I hope someone sent him puberty!"

The Hansons actually made good music. Could anything Justin Bieber does trump "Mmm-bop" and "Where's the Love"? I don't think The Hansons got the kind of respect Justin Bieber is getting. He's working with some major big-wigs and is being hailed as a major talent. Why? No clue from my end. The Hansons were okay because no one Usher's age was saying they were mega-talented and forces to be reckoned with.
Although the middle Hanson kid looked young at 14 (and, well, kind of girly) he did seem to mature into looking like more of a man by the time he hit 16.
Justin Bieber is unusually young looking. And, yeah, I don't remember boys at 16 when I was in high school looking that ....wee.

Well, as much as I hate to admit it, I think Justin does have some innate talent. He can carry a tune and play the guitar. His songs can be catchy, although I'm not giving him credit for that because IIRC, he doesn't write his own songs, does he? (And Hanson did. Take that, Justin!)
I don't really see him having the longevity of Hanson, though. The way I see it, Hanson's drive and determination got them to where they were today. While they're not megastars anymore, they're certainly respectable musicians at this point (instead of a punchline among everybody other than adolescents). They took the initiative to go out there and do their own thing, put out their own label, etc. I can't see Justin doing that. Then again, he's still a kid.

It kind of sounds like his voice hasn't cracked yet. I'm wondering if that's why he can sing...for now. I wonder what will happen after it cracks.
I really hate that "Oh baby" song. I'm not even sure what the title is. I just hear "oh baby...oh baby..." and then Ludacris comes in and says something. Then it's "oh baby...oh baby...."
