I saw Wolf of Wall Street over the weekend and yikes. I'm not a Leo fan, but I've never been creeped out by him either, and the movie left me wishing for a way to pull my brain from my skull and bleach it. For good. So gross. (Prostitutes. Lots and lots of prostitutes.) To me, that movie went on far too long and by the end I really didn't care about any of those people. I think I want to see this movie; the subject matter sound awful but if Eva Green is in it, then I'm there.

Noel, one of the worse Christmas movies ever made.

Into the Woods, Chris Pine trying to sing with a British accent.

I couldn't get past the first 45 minutes, so I missed out on all the prostitutes. I was grossed out by this movie immediately because I got a "this is cool and funny" vibe from it that turned me off. The shit that went down was not cool and it was not funny. Wall Street was a much, much better movie. The Wolf of Wall Street was full of caricatures whereas the characters played by Michael Douglas and the crazy fuck otherwise known as Charlie Sheen were layered and flawed human beings.

Into the Woods, Chris Pine trying to sing with a British accent. Chris Pine's was the only actor in the movie I liked. He seemed to realize that movies are supposed to be entertaining and actually made the audience laugh. The rest of the cast was chewing scenery or moping around in what appeared to be massive boredom during all of their scenes. So glad they didn't win any Golden Globes for their movie.

It wasn't a good movie, we were really bummed afterwards, should have gone to see Big Hero 6 instead.

Wolf of Wall Street was entertaining but some of the reactions it got from people were unsettling. Like it was hardcore porn for people who really love money. I just kept thinking back to Margie and Norm at the end of Fargo and how much happier they were.

The Russell Crow version of Robin Hood from back in 2010. Um, holy shit. That was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Drab, utterly without heroes or really even a plot and the villain is...a king who can't collect his taxes?
I even preferred (by a mile) the campy Costner/Rickman '91 movie to that hot mess. It was almost Gigli bad, people.

I saw pieces of Noah (Russell Crowe's biblical epic) last night. I was so baffled at the casting of so many mixed accents, and no attempt to make them consistent. No point in also pointing out the lack of diversity.
I also watched The Green Mile, and my god, what a horrible piece of crap. Everyone was chowing down on the scenery. I can see what they were aiming for, but lord almighty, what a terrible, insulting movie. I'm pretty sure this was the movie that defined the "magic negro" trope.
