Was watching De-Lovely today (the Cole Porter flick with Kevin Kline) and who has a VERY small role?? Kevin McKidd! The Scottish cutie who is starring in HBO's Rome and was in "Kingdom of Heaven". He almost got past me with his American accent too.

Not quite what everyone else is posting, but in the spirit of the above... I'm reading The Celluloid Closet, and I must say, Jim Carrey is probably one of the last faces I was expecting to see in there. Not because of the gay context, but because this battered library copy of the "Revised Edition" was published in 1987, a good three years before In Living Color and seven before his Ace Ventura superstardom.
The author cites Carrey's 1985 Once Bitten for derogatory gags and a "particularly atrocious"--but also "undeniably homoerotic"--shower scene, and provides a still photo of young Jimmy and two co-stars who have not, AFAIK, gone on to earn umpteen million per picture.

Here's another one I always watch for: White Christmas The last third of the film. Rosemary Clooney is mad at Bing and has run off to New York City to do a single act, believing her sister is planning to marry Danny Kaye. Clooney does a torch song called "Love, You Didn't Do Right By Me". As she stands on stage singing in the night club, 4 young men wearing black dance around her. One of them is George Chakiris who would win the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his portrayal of Bernardo in West Side Story a few years later. You can also see George in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes dancing behind Marilyn in Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend.

There's a scene in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (movie) where a basketball game is happening, and one of the players had been turned into a vampire a few nights earlier. The vampire/player jumps in front of a player from the opposing team and snarls 'give me the ball'. The scared witless player complies.
That scared witless player is Ben Affleck.

How could you tell the difference?
ETA: You can see a very young Bill Paxton in Pat Benatar's "Shadows of the Night" video. Somebody else who is now famous is also in the video, but I can't remember who.

I was recently shocked to recognize Edie McClurg (Mrs. Poole) as one of the classmates who taunts Sissy Spacek in Carrie.

I can't prove if this is who I think it is, so maybe someone here can.
In the Steve Martin film L.A. Story, he and Victoria Tennant take a walk by an outdoor roller skating place. On the rink is a lady in a blue and white leotard skating around in choregraphical bliss.
And it certainly looks like it could be Paula Abdul. The film came out in 1991, so it could be right before or during Paula's brief but memorable career as a pop star. Yet, it's not listed in the credits, and nothing is listed on IMDB.
Anyone want to confirm or deny?
ETA: up to committed snark with Paula Abdul! She'll be Forever my girl!!
