What would a family of 5 need 22,000 sq. ft for? Even taking into account household staff and other hangers on, it would be like living in a giant, impersonal hotel. Crazy and totally unnecessary. They're house has a fucking moat for god's sake? What does anybody do with a moat surrounding their house? More money than sense.

Moats keep the enemy out! Ask any king from the Dark Ages. They were great for protecting your people during miscellaneous battles. I bet she also has some green/Earth friendly cannons on the second level.
And hotels are very cozy. Anyone who has read The Shining knows how convenient and fun they are.

TTMR and I have sworn that if we win the lottery, we will build a house with a moat. And the moat will also be a lazy river, because they are fun.

I never even get that far in my "I won 100 million dollars!" dreams. Moats rarely come up. But it would be nice to buy white/beige dining room chairs and know that I could just throw them away and buy new ones the first time someone drops spaghetti.
That pool is gorgeous. And I like the way they seem to be a tight family. Other than that - Tom still looks a little dim, and Giselle's body is impossibly tiny. Godspeed.

They have both gotten to the point where they have lost touch with what simplicity and cozy mean.

Yeah, I do like that about them, that Tom and Gisele are openly affectionate with each other and demonstrative with their children. I remember an interview Tom did when Jack was a baby and when asked about it, admitted that he needed to step up on the parenting front. I wouldn't doubt that Gisele and Tom often know when they're being papped and put on a good show, but those kids all seem very happy with their parents and used to being cuddled, unlike how Suri used to be all awkward when she was trotted out for photo ops. But clearly, trying to claim that your 22,000 square foot house is eco-friendly shows a certain level of...obliviousness, though of all of the women Leo has ever dated, Gisele is the only one who gives me much sense of having an awareness of world issues, even if her thoughts on them tend to be rather smug and/or maddening. So, I'm not sure if that's a better or worse thing, really, than just staying in your lane of being hot and not even trying to have a clue.

We didn't talk about a home with indoor and outdoor pools, or apartments in London, Toronto, Budapest, and Napa Valley. No, definitely not.

Hey, buying loads of real estate won't prevent you from giving your estate to charity when you die! Consider it an investment.
