I wonder why we never got to see what transpired between Tig and August in that warehouse. It seemed like it was implied something more happened. Did August seriously just show up at the warehouse, no one said anything and then Tig popped up in the morning at Jax's house no worse for the wear? And then that's it? Tara's fate just was bleak, pointless and horrible. I was glad to see glimmers of old Jax but too little too late as usual. I don't know if Jax was really going to spare Tara until she broke down and asked him not to kill her in front of the kids. I mean thinking back to them in season 1 and to go from that to Tara begging her husband not to murder her in front of her children is just.... Man. I hope Jax really understands what he's become. I agree, things didn't need to be that bloody. I even understand that maybe it needed to be up close and personal because Gemma clearly has rage and boundary issues, but that was overkill. And killing the cop accomplished almost nothing. If Jax is as criminally brilliant to have masterminded dozens of his enemies' deaths, surely he'll know his mom was to blame for this pretty quickly. Who else would want her dead, besides Wendy, who's holed up somewhere reading tabloids? Last week would've served just fine as a finale. I didn't know where Tara was, if Wendy was going to rehab, if Juice was out of the woods... plenty of cliffhangers. I do think Sutter likes things on the extreme side (the writing he did for Otto was masochistic)... This makes me think the MC will lose a bunch of members next year, as they've dealt with most of their outside enemies and will more or less implode over loyalties, etc.

Yeah, another agree here. I always figured Gemma would kill Tara, but yeesh. It did make me feel more of a profound sense of pity for Tara because she just didn't deserve to die that way.
Dear Kurt Sutter, please let Nero/Jimmy Smits live, or at least give the man an honorable death. He's pretty much the only reason I still watch the show. I really do not want to see him decapitated in a warehouse somewhere in Oakland. Love, hushhush.

I really want Nero to get that farm he's been talking about. I think he put all his savings into the whorehouse partnership with Jax though.

I know Jax is/was in charge, and I think Hunnam's really cute, but I started getting annoyed toward the end of this season where he was just bluntly ordering people around: "You go here. You with me. Watch her. Get rid of these." And everyone blindly followed him. I'm sure this was always his leadership style, but it made the MC look weak; besides Bobby and maybe Chibs, no one ever questioned Jax's motives or reasoning on ANYTHING. They blindly followed him the way Jax blindly followed Clay (I did like that Jax called out Opie as being his moral compass for such a long time). I think Jax might've gotten over anyone else's death but O's. So now he's his father, keeping a journal, ruminating over people he's lost, sounding hauntingly vague about his future.
Overall I liked this season (esp at 90 minutes each!) except for the last 2-3, where the bloodshed seemed completely gratuitous. "Sheriff, there are 10 bodies at this warehouse a mile from the ice cream shop where SOA is holed up...Think they're involved?" "Dammit, I have no proof!" Gimme a break. :eye roll:

My friend is just starting the series (mind you, she asked me for interesting shows she could watch for a while when she's on the treadmill). She promptly flipped out at Donna's death. (She's on S2 now.) Today she accidentally stumbled into a thread somewhere that mentioned Tara's death & she was all "I'm not watching anymore!" So I had to kind of, um, blatantly lie. I said "LOL, who told you that? Tara doesn't die! Keep watching." She's going to have my head ON A PLATTER.

I wasn't always the biggest Tara fan, but it's going to be strange watching the show without her.

Dammit, she texted me saying she read something else about it (while wiki'ing Jax Teller, what the hell?) I told her to stay off all SoA sites and get back to me as weird shit goes down.

Okay, Greecies, we are a mere nineteen days away from the final season's premiere. Mr. Cyclone and I have been rewatching via DVD and just finished season two. I highly recommend doing the same if you're able, just to be reminded that all these characters once had redeeming qualities.
On to the (almost surely) grisly end! Who's with me?
