Loved her last night. One of my faves. Thought the hair and make up were perfect and the dress was great on her - refreshing to see something different on the red carpet.

I dislike the sheer bottom but, without it, it would only look like a business suit, so I don't know. It's beyond my help, I'm afraid.

I would like the dress better if it hadn't almost killed Naomi Watts while they were onstage.

So, I REALLY, really like Emma, both as a person and an actress, but after seeing Birdman, I'm completely at a loss as to how she got an Oscar nom for that film. I mean, really?! She was fine, but I didn't consider that performance to be remarkable or memorable in the least.

I think it's for that scene where she rants at Michael Keaton's character about how unimportant he is after he catches her with some pot and yells at her. That was her best scene, and it's the one they keep showing clips of for her. The Supporting Actress field was kind of weak this year so I'm not surprised she got in. In a better year there's no way she would.

I would like the dress better if it hadn't almost killed Naomi Watts while they were onstage. That was an awesome moment. I was wondering what would have happened if she really had fallen on her face. Would Liev bumrush the stage? Would Emma cry? Would Naomi swear a lot? The mind boggles at the possibilities!

I think she did a really good job playing a character who appears jaded and pretends not to give a shit, but really does. Not all actresses her age can pull that off. But yeah, Michael Keaton and Ed Norton's performances were way more impressive.

I found her to be extremely "mannered" and over the top with the facial expressions while she delivered that little speech. I feel sometimes an actor uses strong facial ticks and expressions to their advantage, and that serves them well when there are few words to be said. This particular scene, yikes - she actually grated.

For some reason that dress is really throwing off her body proportions for me, I think it's something to do with the width of the shoulders and the length of the skirt or...something.
