Have I missed Emma in something amazing? I've seen Superbad, The House Bunny and Easy A. I don't remember her being more than the standard Hollywood up and coming starlet in any of those. Maybe she'll grow into being a more fantastic actress than Lohan ever could be but I haven't seen any evidence of that yet.
Granted, as long as she keeps her great personality and discipline she'll have a better career than Lindsay's had so far.

I don't think she's the new Meryl Streep or anyhing but she's not untalented seems likeable and is very pretty. Besides there are so few Hollywood redheads (at least those who stay red), especially among the younger generation - Amy Adams (amazing though she is) is 36 and Isla Fisher is 34.

Emma definitely isn't at Meryl Streep levels yet, but she's proving to be pretty versatile. I think the main thing she has going for her is her comedic timing. We (imo) seem to be lacking some strong comedic actresses.

I've seen more than one review saying that we no longer need Lindsay, since Emma is a more than suitable replacement as the go-to Hollywood redhead. I wonder how they both feel about those comparisons? Man that is irritating. Do you ever see comments like that about male actors?

I think with male actors, the most you'd hear is someone saying that actor x is the next coming of actor y. I initially thought the Lohan comparison was kind of a compliment, since most reviews were comparing Stone's performance to Lindsay's Mean Girls performance. But now, I can't help but think how annoyed Emma must be. Who'd want to be compared to another actress simply on the basis of hair color?

Especially if it's not your natural hair color. Emma is a natural blonde but dyes her hair red. Red certainly suits her though!
I think Emma is awesome and is a real talent. I really hope to see Easy A soon!

Who'd want to be compared to another actress simply on the basis of hair color? ...Anyone willing to remain (or Emma's case become) a redhead? Seriously like I've said there are so few redheads in Hollywood that anyone going red is deliberately trying to get noticed for it and a large part of getting noticed in such a small group is being compared to the more famous members. I'm sure Emma Stone is absolutely delighted at being compared to Lindsay Lohan since she (rather than Lindsay) always comes out the better.

I adore her and think her comedic timing it flawless. She's so animated and has a charming sense about her.
I almost didn't recognize her as one of Matthew McConaughey's girlfriends in "Ghost of Girlfriend's Past", but she was hilarious! But I love her most in "House Bunny". I really hope she has a big career ahead of her. I'm so watching her on SNL next month. Thanks for the heads up, bstewart!
I'm so glad that some of you liked "Easy A"! I'm going to have to check it out.

She's been offered the role of Mary Jane in the Spider-Man reboot.
