I'm just so relieved no one died...This and "the flowers" made up for some of the quieter (ok boring) moments. I mean, they're in mortal danger but at least they left me with a little hope to tide me over.

Depends how grateful Rick is when he finds out. If he still acts like she's a threat, I'd love for her to grab the baby and take off. Frankly, I just want some intragroup drama. They can be a family who loves each other but still have issues about banishing/euthanizing, etc. I think Carol having taken care of Judith should be part of Carol's apology to Rick. Even if she felt justified in killing Karen and David she acted unilaterally and didn't tell anyone, she stood there and let Rick and Tyreese beat the living crap out of each other instead of stopping the fight and confessing, she let the people in the prison live in fear that they had an unknown killer on their hands (which gave Tyreese nightmares) on top of having to deal with the sickness, and she encouraged the prison children to keep her dirty secrets from other adults, even their own parents. That's disgusting behavior. Rick had every right to tell her to get lost and stay away from his children. Carol is still on my shitlist.

I feel the exact opposite about Rick and Carol. Rich kills with impunity. He just let a man die in the season finale. They could easily have called to the man to run to them. They ended up being chased by zombies anyway. Rick's own child killed someone who was giving up. Herschel told Rick exactly what happened, but because it was Carl that was ok. When Carol killed Karen and David, she was doing what she thought was right. Rick wasn't the leader then, they had the council, which Carol was part of. Rick was not. He acted unilaterally and like a gigantic idiot. That group needs Carol. She's nuturing and she also does what needs to be done.

Agreed, Rick is in no place to judge anyone and his new little bro there Daryl may just remind him of that.

Rick and Carol are cut from the same cloth.

The cannibals weren't trying to hit them, they were forcing them towards the traincar. Daryl pointed that out. It was just like the rabbit/snare that Rick set up earlier, except with people. You're right, I totally missed that during the episode. I ended up rewatching the episode without a screaming 1 1/2 year old in my face, you can tell the cannibals only shot at them when they would go in the wrong direction. Even then, the bullets were always behind them which I think is still dumb because the ricochet of those shots should still hit them at least. And i agree that Rick and Carol are cut from the same cloth. Which is why I'm betting that Carol won't go in to Terminus and will watch from afar and see that her old gang is in there.

I haven't seen Rick from impunity, that's what Joe, the Governor, and their lot did. If anything he's given people ample chance to explain themselves - Shane, Carol, the attackers at the bar, the Terminus cannibals, etc. That's more than Karen and David ever got.
That man was already overwhelmed by the herd, there was nothing they could do. When Carl killed the person who was "giving up" that person failed to drop their gun, which is what someone who really is giving up would do, and Carl did get grilled for it. Carol did what she thought was right? If she thought it was so right then why didn't she tell Hershel and the rest of the council immediately afterward? Why hide it and lie about it? And again telling kids to keep her dirty secrets hidden from other adults. If that's her idea of "doing what needs to be done" then she shouldn't be around other people any more than Lizzie should.
As of season 4 I didn't think she was nurturing at all; she was one cold fish and was often nastier to Mika and Lizzie than they deserved. I wouldn't want her around my kids, that's for damn sure.
I trust Rick not to kill me in my sleep. Carol, not so much.

So I just caught up on the last two seasons (in about 10 days!) and I'm confused about one thing discussed in this thread - how do we know the people in Terminus are cannibals? It was probably something obvious but I seem incapable of not multi-tasking when watching tv so I must have just missed it.

Because of the comic books. Because when Team Prison was running around Terminus, they passed a pile of bloody human skeletons. Because there was fresh meat on the grill when both factions of Team Prison showed up at Terminus.
