In the comics Tyreese was Rick's right-hand-man until his death, (then it was Abraham). In the show Daryl holds that position so Tyreese became more expendable.
Prediction: They're headed for DC and once they find a community I think some of the peripheral characters will blend into the background. We might hear things about them but their activities will be largely offscreen.
I like the idea of Noah and Gabriel, two characters who were sheltered for different reasons and now have to jump in with both feet and cope with the way the world is now.

I wasn't really moved by this episode. I haven't really cared for the tv version of Tyreese at all so I'm not sad to see him go. I wish Beth was still around though. I did find it interesting that comic Tyreese was the one decapitated by the Governor and then stabbed in the head by Michonne. It's odd to say it but I found that more emotional with Hershel the victim. I miss him too.

I agree with this whole post except I think Noah might die this season. Only because the actor signed to do another tv show.

He might, but if he disappears into a large crowd he doesn't have to die to not be seen again. The Morales family took off in season 1 and just haven't been seen again.

That last 5 minutes, with the music box and the sunrise, redeemed a veeeeeeeerrrrrryyyyy slooooooowwww episode. The new guy looks rather clean for being alive in the zombie apocalpyse.

Very disappointing, especially considering how good the first half of the season was. And why on God's green earth are they always walking on an asphalt road through a forest? It's so freaking monotonous.

I understand they're at a low point, but Jeez what a misery-fest!

Really boring episode. The zombies have more personality than Rick's crew. I want them all to just die.

Was that Topher Grace by the way, the newbie that looks like he just stepped out of a Urban Outfitters store?
