Okay, so if it's the fault of the women who took nude pictures of themselves that were hacked, who's fault is it if a guy gets caught viewing naked pics of underage girls from the hacking? I can't wait to hear the squeaking of the guys going down when they are caught with child porn on their computers. That's all the girls fault as well? And the hacker that will ultimately do heavy time, is that the female's fault too?
I'll tell you, women as such (deleted expletive) sometimes...,.. (major eye roll).

Here is an example I gave to some male friends who were all "If they didn't want them on the internet they shouldn't have taken them." I was on a business trip in May and wile out to breakfast, the restaurant only gave me one receipt. So I took a picture as I needed it for an expense report. I emailed it to myself and then deleted it. If that photo is in the cloud, then some could access it, see the last 4-digits of my credit card and, if they were able to hack to get the photos, I'm sure get my full credit card number and charge up a storm. Is that my fault?

Unfortunately iCloud isn't the only place the hackers got the photos from. They also hit Dropbox and used other methods - like just guessing passwords. People on ONTD were saying that it wasn't Jennifer's phone that was hacked, but her ex Nicholas Hoult. Supposedly the hackers leaked photos of his ex-girlfriends too. The same happened to Kate Upton, her boyfriend's phone was the one that got hacked. I feel really bad for everyone involved, but especially Jessica Brown Findlay. Not only are there photos of her, but also some pretty explicit videos. I can't imagine how violated she feels. Another thing this situation has shown me is that it seems men are the careless ones when it comes to what they save and store on the Internet. So far it sounds like all of these photos were hacked from the men's phones and clouds. For some reason, I find that interesting. Sorry, this is going back a bit, but yeah, I read that Kate Upton's boyfriend, Justin Verlander, is the one whose phone/iCloud was hacked, not Kate. And apparently there are tons of pics of other naked girls in between the ones of Kate and him, and some he took of himself. So on top of having her photos leaked to the world, Kate is (possibly) finding out that her boyfriend has been repeatedly cheating on her. Humiliation on top of humiliation. I feel terrible for her!

Yes! I saw this the other day and rolled my eyes super hard. No legit organization could take money raised through illegal acts/theft like that.
From the page asking for money:
Such altruistic motives, guys. Touching.

Is that my fault? No, it is not your fault. But keeping financial information on an inherently insecure device, or emailing yourself without encrypting the data isn't the best strategy. It invites hackers.

Folks, let's take the discussion of the scandal itself to the Current Events thread and leave the Jennifer Lawrence thread to discussions of Miss Lawrence herself. Thanks!
Also, we've gone around and around and AROUND about insecure devices and blame, and that horse is dead with a capital D. Leave it.

There's been another release of photos hacked from private storage. I've been generally of the "don't look because you add to the problem" school but my curiosity got the better of me because I wanted to see what people were talking about with regards to Hope Solo. I suck, I feel terrible, I know. ANYWAY.... Holy cow. These are super super private and explicit. Like, from Nicholas Hoults POV explicit. Oh, I felt bad for all the women before but these are all a step up in privacy invasion. Fuck the people that did this and fuck the people that make judgements on her for being a normal woman with a sex life.

What pisses me off is I highly doubt Nicholas Hoult didn't send Jennifer nudes of himself. Yet, his dick isn't being circulated on the net.
Meanwhile, US Weekly is reporting Chris Martin has fallen in love Jennifer. Oh boy.
