The Volkswagen (?) commercials with The Golden Sisters. Cute the first 1000 times I saw it. Now I want to pull an Elvis and shoot my TV as soon as I hear one start. I've never thought they were funny or cute. I change the channel as quickly as I can. I hate the voices, the attitudes, the clothes... Too similar to members of my family. Yes, I have issues. One of the commercials features sexual harassment of the young man. Again, not cute. Oh, I HATE the sexual harassment one. It'd be gross if it were old men. Should be these me for women.

I need a cold compress. Here it is, Labor Day weekend and I just saw a commercial for the Hallmark channel's Christmas film marathons starting October 31.
Yeah, I know they've been doing this for a while but it's barely September. And I am so not ready for this.

There is a commercial for some kind of bathroom cleaner. The mom walks in to find her kids bathing what just might be the ugliest dog ever. The dad walks in shortly after, and his horrified gasp cracks me up every single time. I'm sure the dog wouldn't be quite so homely if it weren't wet and covered in what looks like multi-colored paint and soap, but I'm sure my reaction would be about the same if I saw that. The point of the commercial, though, is cleaning up the filthy bathtub and I spend all my time looking at the dog, so it's not the most successful commercial with me.

I want to drive to my nearest Arby's and slap everyone inside when their commercials come on. The yelling is driving me nuts.

The psycho dog owner in me is driven crazy by this sleep aide commercial. Basically this lady has a "Sleep" cat (the word "sleep" all fuzzy and shaped like a cat) and a "Wake" dog. She can't sleep because that damn Wake dog is keeping her Sleep kitty up. So she sends Wake dog to his doggy bed, then picks up Sleep kitty and snuggles with him in bed. Then the next day, when she's awake and not trying to sleep, she goes about her day completely ignoring her Wake dog while he follows her around and basically begs for attention. Then it's night again and Wake is banished to his doggy bed and she's back to snuggling with Sleep kitty. Okay, first of all, the creatures are creepy. Second of all - lady, your Wake dog is keeping your Sleep cat up all night because you ignore him all day! Play with your Wake dog and he'll probably leave you and your Sleep kitty alone at night! He's just lonely!

Yes--the animated furry words are so creepy! The voice-over says "Side effects may include hallucinations," and I'm like, "Yeah, no kidding."
I was under the impression that Sleep and Wake were both cat-like creatures, but I try not to look at the TV screen when that commercial comes on.

There's a commercial for a new phone that I just don't understand. It's a voiceover by a girl comparing two phones. One of them has live broadcasting and she says, "I wonder what geek thought of that," which irritates me. But the part I don't understand is she's holding her dog and doing a live broadcast. She's holding the dog so we can see the dog's chest. She puts her hand covering where the dog's boobs would be and says, "Not censored." Then she uncovers the boobs and says, "Censored." She does this several times and it baffles me. Wouldn't the censored part be when she covers the dog's boobs?

She is known for being rather outspoken on Twitter and has had several photos pulled from Instragram due to exposed nipple. She is actively trying to get that policy changed, so that is what the 'censored' business is about. If nothing else, she is woman who did an interview way back in the day and said that if she were a Miss America candidate and they asked her what she wanted to be she'd say something about wanting to be a spark of life so she could put herself back into Katie Holmes eye.
