All this GE Commercial talk made me both scared and amused at Creepy Jeff Goldblum promoting a new bulb. *shudder*

Oh, it's pretty hilarious. But I must admit seeing him in the hot tub gave me a bit of a shudder. LOL

There’s an ad for air miles where a dad is excited that his kid needs some school supplies so he’s calculating all the ways he can collect (get gas, buy the supplies, etc.). Then he says, “Don’t you need glue too?” and the child says, “Heeeeyyy, is this so you can go to Italy?” And the dad gets all defensive, and says, “No.” But he is busted when they leave for the store and tells his wife where he’s going and she calls out, “Arrivederci!”
So the commercial is fine, but what’s with parents having to be defensive to their kid about wanting to go on a vacation? Are they not allowed to ever do anything without their precious snowflake? The kid’s tone was so accusatory, as in, “How dare you even think about going away on a vacation without ME?” Ugh, hate the message.

The new GAP commercial campaign is kind of lame. It's like they're totally trying too hard. Oooo, black and white. Sooo edgy. I fell down a GAP commercial wormhole the other day. I don't think they'll ever be able to match the 90s awesomeness of GAP Khaki Swing or the West Side Story one. Even some of the celebrity-driven commercials of the 00s were good.

I just saw a Subaru commercial, and from the beginning "when our daughter was born, we got a Subaru...it's where she said her first word" etc I'm thinking "Okay, cute commercial." Until the last line, where the mom says "our daughter grew up in the back seat of this car." Yup, I'll bet she did.

My mom said the same thing and we had a good giggle about it, although she was a tad more shocked.

I just saw a GE commercial that talks about how new ideas aren't accepted. But the idea is played by a dejected muppet/Dr. Seuss type character, who is down and out, getting stuff thrown at it from a passing car as it trudges along the street with it's head down, sleeping in a cardboard box, getting thrown out of a cafe at closing time. At the end, someone takes it's arm, ushers it through the doors of GE and then it is the well received speaker, with fancy head and tail plumage. But it's so depressing at first. Why use the homeless problem to not address the homelessness problem? Bring back Jeff Goldblum!
Bump! I hate the newest Old Navy ad with Amy Poehler as a restaurant hostess with severe vocal fry.
That is all.

Hi, Benefiber? I'm actually okay with thinking about the "R Word" (regularity), and even if I weren't, your new commercial is so annoying that I now hate your product.

Guys, can any of you help me identify this guy ? I recognize him from something, his voice and face are really familiar... I'm hoping someone here recognizes him too. This is one of those types of questions that used to bug the living crap out of me, before the internet made instant answers common. Unfortunately, this guy remains a mystery I cannot solve without help.
