I noticed one of the commercials I really hated last year has been recycled this year. It's from Cadillac (I believe). A woman approaches her neighbor as she's unloading some shopping bags from her car and comments that neighbor lady looks tired. Neighbor lady says "I got up at 3:00 AM for Black Friday. But I saved hundreds!" Lady gives a smug smile and says "Oh. I slept in and saved thousands" and nods at the giant SUV sitting in her driveway. Neighbor lady looks dismayed, like she got duped or something.
Okay, Cadillac. You're comparing apples and oranges here. One lady bought a luxury SUV. The other bought sweaters and maybe an iPad. It's not special that the person buying the car saved thousands while the person buying sweaters saved hundreds. That's how it works. If first lady only saved hundreds, that means she got a bum deal. If other lady saved thousands, then that means she bought a shit-ton of sweaters. Neighbor lady should only be pissed off that she got up at 3:00 AM to only save hundreds if she did it to buy a Cadillac and missed some late-morning special sale that would have saved her more. Your commercial makes no damn sense.

Can I just say that I giggle like a maniac every time I see the Salt 'n' Peppa "push it" commercial? I don't even have a clue what the heck it's for, it just makes me laugh.

Katie Holmes's god-awful diction is making her Olay Regenerist commercials even harder to take. No, Katie, you don't want to take "beedy" into your own hands, it's "beauty." link

I don't understand the Tostito salsa ad where their point it that the salsa is as good as restaurant salsa, so people think the apartment is a restaurant. So they've seated people and are taking chips and salsa to them. The whole thing is just too weird. Are they taking money from people? Do the people want anything besides chips and salsa?

Oy. Someone needs to teach her the difference between a smirk and a smile.
At least Olay dresses her better than she dresses herself.

I'm embarrassed to admit I find the "half-fast" commercial (Verizon?) very clever.

Hey smockery, after I read your comment, I made sure to pay special attention to what the "Push it" commercial was selling and I wasn't entirely surprised to see that it was for Geico. I don't know who their ad agency is but whoever it is has done a fantastic job. My all-time favourite is the camel/hump day ad.

I watched for it too after smockery mentioned it! lovelovelovelovelove it. Speaking of the hump day ad - my sister got a piece of direct mail from them with the camel on the outside of the envelope. It was personalized, so the outside of the envelope said "Pickle-sis! Pickle-sis! What day is it?" She was particularly impressed that it actually arrived on a Wednesday. I myself am Flo's bitch.

I got Flo'ed out with overly dramatic movie scenes. I'm kind of sick of Flo now. I mean, really sick. The robot Flo makes my teeth itch.
I do love the two "pants on fire" guys.
