I'm done with the Matthew McConaughey Lincoln commercials. Driving alone soliloquizing at night in deserted rain splashed locations does not make me want to run right out and buy that car.

Not to mention how incredibly creepy he sounds. I really don't get those commercials at all, but like you said they sure don't make me want to run right out and buy that car.

I do love the SNL parodies of the commercial though!

Now that I've seen True Detective, I keep waiting for the camera to pull back and reveal Woody Harrelson sitting in the passenger seat, and he'll say "Rust, what did I say about the car being a place for quiet contemplation? Shut the fuck up."

Have you guys seen the Android commercial with the different animals together and the music is Robin Hood and Little John? It's kind of cute because of the funny shots of animals but I just don't get what they're trying to accomplish with it. Yes, and I'm in love with it! I have no idea what the purpose of it is, but that is one of all time favorite movies so I smiled like a loon when I saw it.

When I was little I thought the love song from the animated 'Robin Hood' movie was the romantic song of all time.
ETA-- I'm getting a big kick out of that grandma from the BMW commercials, especially her strained relationship with her adult son. According to her she shared a room with her 9 siblings and only saw the moon 3 times until she was 16 because there was only one window. They would scream "heads up" to warn each other about oncoming twisters because they lived on the plains. And she and her now-deceased husband engaged in a BDSM relationship. Who knows how much of her stories are true, since her son keeps refuting the details.

There has been a commercial for Sandals Resorts running for some time now that really irritated me. The female narrator said something along the line of, “Oh no, we arrived at Sandals and he forgot his wallet! What are you going to do?!?”
My thought was, “Use her cards/cash” but the implication was that the man was the Keeper of the Money, so without his wallet, all is lost for this couple. Except that at Sandals, everything is included, so yay – you don’t need a wallet! (Although the idiots might have to pay for food/drinks in the airport, parking, transportation, etc. but that’s not relevant to the Sandals “experience” so buh.)
I hated the blatant sexism of it, especially when the woman ends with something about how his blunder didn’t matter, and she should apologize for being upset with him. Or not (sly smile). Because she is perfect and never forgets anything and he’s just a dumb man who can’t even do his one job of keeping track of the money.
I noticed that they redid the narration for the ad and it now says, "We forgot our wallets..." etc. I guess I wasn't the only one who thought it was offensive.

I'm still enjoying the Matthew McConaughey Lincoln commercials. Pure cheese but the cinematography is rich and I love the music.
