Melisandrei continues to bug the crap out of me. The minute she starts droning on about the lord of light my eyes roll out of my head.
Nice moment of Jaime taking in the sight of Tarth - you know, as in Brienne? That person, Jaime, you used to hang out with and you didn't suck when you were around her? Bronn is fun, but as long as Jaime is Cersei's bitch, running his little mission to Dorne to win back her favor and I suspect his vow to kill Tyrion has more to do with Cersei than Tywin, he's going to suck.
And Cersei is playing with fire - don't recruit the religious fanatics, darling. Not when you've got so many skeletons in your own closet.

My thoughts (highlight for spoilers): {Spoiler}* kostgard, re: Melisandre: yuuuup. And when the droning stops, the titties usually come out, which has gotten pretty damn tedious as well. * I'm pretty shocked about Grey Worm and Barristan. If Grey Worm on the show has had Strong Belwas folded into his role, they're not kidding about the show deviating from the books this season. As I recall, both had pretty big roles to play, and Barristan plays a pretty big part in Winds of Winter. I guess we'll find out next week if they made it. * I hope Tyrion's journey is a short one, because Dany could really use his counsel right about now. And if they're compressing that whole storyline, I hope they also do away with Young Griff, Quentyn Martell and the Hizdahr zo Loraq marriage. Griff seemed like filler, the Hizdahr plot won't really be necessary if Ser Barristan and Grey Worm are gone and IIRC, Quentyn's storyline was basically Quentyn: "Marry me", Dany: "Nope" Dragon: "RAWR (burnination)" after a long, pointless journey. *FUCK YEAH, SAND SNAKES!! *Finally, I'm calling it now. Ser Not Making It to Next Season: Mace & Loras Tyrell, Roose & Ramsay Bolton, Tommen & Myrcella, possibly Brienne (if she dies, we riot)

I'm wondering if Lady Stoneheart (Caitlyn Stark) will be making an appearance at all in the series? I haven't read the books but I've read enough discussion about them that I was looking forward to her coming in to mix things up.
I think Stannis (and Roose Bolton, for that matter) are tooooootally hot, so I will have mixed feelings about their characters getting what's coming to them.
And I noticed that Keisha Castle-Hughes is playing one of the sand snakes! Glad it's a bigger role than the one she had on The Walking Dead.
And was it this thread where someone made the comment that Brienne is the Game of Thrones equivalent to Darryl from The Walking Dead? She's the fan favorite that will make everyone lose it if she gets killed. I would love for her to have a moment of glory and rescue Sansa without getting rejected by her again.
ETA: Melisandre. My eyes nearly rolled out of my head with her boob deployment. Way to stay strong, Jon Snow.

I may have shed a tear during Stannis' talk with his daughter.

Heh. Brienne might be GOT's Daryl, but I've got her on my "will probably survive" list because she's got several irons in the fire. She's gotta save Sansa and kill Stannis, train Pod, and possibly reunite with Jaime - scene of Jaime sailing past Tarth served no purpose other than to remind the audience of his connection to Brienne. That tells me one or both of them will try to find the other at some point, and with him in the south in Dorne and Brienne moving further north, it won't happen any time soon. Anyway, that's a lot to accomplish in the six remaining episodes in between everyone else's stories. I think it will bleed over into next season. She might land in hot water before the season is out, but I think she will survive.
I think one or both of the Boltons will die (not to turn her into a killing machine, but Brienne has her reasons for not liking Lord Bolton). And I just remembered that the Trant dude who is escorting Lord Tyrell is on Arya's kill list, and he's heading to Braavos, where she is.

Every time they try to make me like Stannis, I remember the Renley killing, and the people burning. So what if he loves his daughter? He's supposed to. He doesn't get a biscuit for being the least horrible parent in that family.
Melisandre has outlived her usefulness and her welcome. Time for her to meet the pointy end of Needle or any random sword.
I'm baffled by Cersei being so short-sighted. She's a cousin and a brother-fucker, and yet she's casting stones?! Does she really think this won't come back on her if Lancel gets leaned on by the High Sparrow? She just keeps proving Tyrion and Tywin right---she's not nearly as smart as she thinks she is. She should have quietly stepped aside, and been grateful that her bastard love child is sitting on the throne, and neither of their heads are on spikes.
I definitely think Arya will kill Trant when he come to Bravos. Just for Ned and Syrio!

I think it is cool how they are deviating from the books. No one knows what will happen. It gives this season an added dose of drama.

I'm not minding they're deviating either. So many things needed to be cut out from the last two books anyway, imo.
And I find myself able to actually enjoy the show more now that I'm not constantly wondering if a scene or line that I love is going to be included or done the "right" way.

After binge watching the first 4 leaked episodes, I'm actually super-pumped for the premiere of a new episode tonight! There are multiple arcs that I can't wait to see play out:
1. Tyrion's reaction to the dragons, Dany's reaction to Tyrion, and where is Varys now? 2. Grey Worm is okay, alright!!! And I want some Grey Worm/Missandei feels tonight. 3. Stannis coming for Winterfell/fighting the Boltons/fighting white-walkers. 4. More white-walker back-story or a least an appearance please. 5. Cersei being exposed as a hypocrite, and jailed for her crimes.
I'm scared to see what's going to happen with Sansa and Ramsey. He's psychotic, and has a jealous psychotic girlfriend. I'm really surprised at how poorly Littlefinger calculated this one. I find it hard to fathom that Littlefinger isn't aware of Ramsey's reputation, and the Bolton's history of flaying/torture in general. I know that everyone is just pieces on the board being moved around for LF, but I thought he wouldn't put her in actual mortal danger.
The Dorne stuff is mildly interesting, but doesn't really seem to have real stakes to it. It's doubtful anyone will die, and I highly doubt a war will come of it.

I'm watching the new episode right now. Had to come over and say that Kit Harrington has amazing hair. Back to the episode now.
