There are a lot of folks who are not thrilled with the way Outlander has been dealing with rape. I read several "That's it, I'm out" pieces from critics, not unlike what happened after Sansa's rape.
I wasn't entirely thrilled with Outlander, though at least they are discussing the fallout from rape (or at least they are for Jamie, not so much for Claire). But between the two shows, I think I've reached my rape saturation point. No mas, TV.
It's time for Ramsay to get this comeuppance. At this point, I don't care who kicks his ass, as long as it gets kicked.

Trying not to spoil, but I'm eager to hear the opinions of the folks who have said the season has been too bland so far regarding the last 10 minutes of episode 8. Because...damn. I can't help but think that everything leading up to it was deliberately slow and seemingly uneventful just so they could donkey punch us into happy oblivion with that awesomeness. I mean, HOLY SHIT.

Crazy. I'm still in shock! The "Holy shit" look on Jon Snow's face as they ever so slowly rowed away (seriously...It was making me anxious how casually they were rowing that boat) said it all. Best episode ever.

I was bummed that new wildling lady was only in one episode before she got ice-zombied. I really liked her.
Other than that, good episode. This is really the first season where the stuff at the Wall (and beyond) didn't bore me. Shit is getting real.
And did Jon use his own sword to shatter Captain Freeze? I guess that means Valyrian steel can also kill the ice zombies, not just dragon glass.
You know who else has a Valyrian steel sword? Brienne. Where the hell is she, show?
I'm glad Sansa is getting her backbone and now she has some hope after Reek told her that he didn't kill her brothers. Come on, Sansa- put the candle in the window, get Brienne to rescue you, then task her to help you find your brothers and restore the Starks to Winterfell. And hope Bran has developed his wizard powers enough at cave Hogwarts to help stop the zombies.
Tyrion will be good for Dany. This will be interesting. But what the hell happened to Varys? Did he just give up or is he taking the really slow boat to Meeren?
Didn't miss Dorne at all.

Maybe Valyrian steel is made with dragon glass? Aren't there three swords? Who has the third one?
I thought the giant was going to drag the boat further from shore. At the very least, I was thinking they should maybe row a little harder.
Cersei, how the mighty have fallen.
And yeah, the show is not boring.

Maybe Valyrian steel is made with dragon glass? Aren't there three swords? Who has the third one? Jon has the Mormont sword, Jaime got 1/2 of Ice, which he gave to Brienne and Tywin gave the other 1/2 to Joffrey. I'm guessing Tommen inherited it. I was worried the giant was going to try to get in the boat, but made the smart decision to wade to the ship. Since the boat rowers had their hoods up, I was afraid they were ice zombies in disguise and we're going to pop up and kill everyone in the boat.

Wow. Yes. Good episode. They've definitely blown their CGI budget on that one.
I watch on HBONow and they always have an interview with Benioff and Weiss at the end (don't know if they do that on cable broadcast?) but one of them said something that gave me the idea that it might be the person wielding the sword (Jon) rather than just the sword itself. I'm not sure though--I could have misunderstood what he was trying to express.
I've ragged on Kit Harrington for not being a great actor but I thought he did a good job in this one. His stunned expression when they were rowing/drifting off was perfect.
I'm glad Tormund survived. With all the Wildlings getting slaughtered I was afraid he was going to die too. I've decided he's hot but was a little disappointed when I looked him up on imdb and saw that he keeps that massive beard in real life. [/shallow and irrelevant]
I was happy for Sansa when she learned Bran and Rickon aren't dead. Do we even know where Rickon is anymore? I lost track.
And, yes, Tyrion and Dany. Good chemistry. I look forward to seeing more of those two together.
And finally, where do the Wildings buy their snow camo fabric? JoAnn's Fabrics Beyond the Wall?

The zombies reminded me of a zombie invasion a la The Walking Dead.

OMFG!! WTF!! BBQ!!! A:PDFDPFKD:FKA{PEFkpa[kap[afka!!!
Holy shit!! The last 25 minutes I sat mouth agape. Best episode of the season, by a mile. Only earlier today I was bitching about the lack of effects budget, and the saving of money for the last episodes. Boy they delivered. I'm still shaking. I have to watch that a few more times. I know Jon got away safe, but my heart is still pumping with adrenaline. Jon has made another enemy, as if he needed more.
Loved the Tyrion and Dany stuff. Have no idea what Jorah is doing. Sucks to be Cersei, and finally Arya's story is interesting again. Plus Sansa knows that her brothers might still be out there. 10/10. No filler. Everything was tight and on point. Now I'm excited for the rest of the season!!

Zivvie- and it totally reminded me of Lord of the Rings:Return of the King.
