Yeah. I watched the first show and he was totally devoid of charisma. Just a total blank.

I thought Aeon Flux was pretty good. I saw it with three other people yesterday and we all enjoyed it, the theatre was pretty packed too. Maybe word of mouth will cause the box office to pick up. Stuart Townhend had a cameo in the movie, so as long as he's dating Charlize he'll have work I suppose.

Can't decide whether to see Aeon Flux or not. We'll see how desperate I get this week. One of the reviews at RT said "Charlize has her Oscar, now she has her Catwoman."
The blogs are reporting today that she might be the Bond girl.
I agree with those who say she's bland but I've never seen her act. Hopefully it gives her very nice features a little boost. I suspect in a few years she'll grow into her beauty.
She's not like Andie McDowell and Julia Ormond, who are beautiful despite their vapidity. Her blandness actually affects her looks (for me). Everytime I see her I think, "can't say she's not beautiful but something is missing." Charisma-free, unless she's acting? I don't know.

Funny, Halle Berry was a Bond girl.
What happened to her "Don't be Halle Berry" motto?

Charlize has never been a big draw. She's like Hilary Swank. Her boyfriend's TV series was cancelled recently so more bad news. To be fair, what female star besides Julie Roberts (no SIC, that's her real name) is a "big box office star?" Angie Jolie Voight? Nah! Kidman? After Bewitched, I'm not so sure. Fishstick? J-Ho? Jen A? Lindsay Ho-han?

What exactly did she say about Halle?

What exactly did she say about Halle? Something like, she didn't want to be this year's Halle Berry, referencing her Oscar win and then Catwoman and the other bombs. She must have known Aeon wasn't shaping up too well, it was probably a semi-conscious worry and not really an intended slight. When in doubt, keep your mouth shut. I'm still trying to learn this one.

From The New YorkerBut now Charlize denies making those comments and said she even sent Halle a bouquet of flowers. Source

She also said that Halle ignored her. So I suspect there's some cattiness there. No pun intended.
Btw, her boyfriend is indeed bland. So bland that I don't believe Peter Jackson's claim that he was fired from the LOTR trilogy because he didn't look old enough to be Aragorn. It was probably because once they started filming, Jackson noticed that he has little screen presence.

To be fair, what female star besides Julie Roberts (no SIC, that's her real name) is a "big box office star?" Dakota Fanning? Topic? Charlize is very pretty but the only movie I've ever seen her in was "The Cider House Rules" and I don't even remember that much about her performance.
