I didn't remember that her ears were that big (good job on keeping that silky hairdo then). She looks good - heavier and normal. That guy on the other hand? He always looks like he slept in Just For Men. And mascara. And he or she or both have lousy taste in engagement rings.

This and that she battles with Goopy for the number 1 spot on every annual most beautiful person ever list doesn't help convince me, but she looks a lot better here with a few more pounds on her frame.
I wonder how much of that has to do with Brad. All of the women Brad has been attached to over the years have been scary skinny. Some have later admitted to eating disorders and/or drug use. He must have a type, kinda like A-Rod and his she-male women. Even Cameron Diaz bulked up when she was with him. Jen was thin first couple seasons on Friends. Once she hooked up with Brad she became Courtney Cox thin. Skeletal frames don't age well. Look at Jolie. She was always thin but last several years a slight breeze will knock her over.

Oh yeah, her face looks much better. Not so pointed and pained.

I wouldn't put that all on Brad, as far as Jennifer Aniston goes. Ally McBeal launched in 1997, and that's when Hollywood really began to see the incredible shrinking women, as actresses (particularly on TV) started to get more and more skeletal, and the lollipop-head became the desired look amongst them.

I don't think mmmkrimpets put it "all" on Brad, just noted that his women tended to lose weight after pairing with him. It's a valid observation, I think.
And I can see how easily a guy can influence that. Jen might look at the dessert tray in a restaurant and Brad might say something like, "Do you really have room for that?" or "Wow, that's pretty fattening" or something similar. Saying that to a Hollywood starlet who's already image-conscious...

Hollywood is a world unto itself. Matthew Perry circa 1997 looked like a walking cadaver thanks to addiction; a year or so later Courteney Cox looked worse than that, intentionally. Matthew entered rehab to save his life while Courteney got magazine covers. If her face and interviews are any indication, she has never been at peace with her body, not even as a young girl. Jen, on the other hand, even at her thinnest, never looked quite so wrecked to me and today she appears fit and healthy while Courteney continues to look unwell and at times unrecognizable.

Brad has never given me the impression of body shaming anyone and women in particular. Not even a casual comment about someone's weight. In fact, I don't even know what he thinks about food and how he keeps a slim body because not being a woman, he's never asked about it. That's something serious to say about someone when there's no evidence to back it up.
Perhaps the pressure of dating him and all the media scrutiny that comes with being Mrs. Pitt makes them lose weight but it's unfair to put that on him. These are all grown women who very much wanted to be in a relationship with the guy.
Jen looks good but bless her heart for hustling for an Oscar nom when she's not on anyone's list.

I think there is a lot of pressure within hollywood on actresses re:weight. Jen was very much the break out star of Friends and it was clear she was angling for movie stardom. I think thinnification was just part of thr package. Every other actress would be slimming down and trying to look younger in a frantic bid for roles. I think a connection can be made that Brad as dating actresses at the height of their fame or when they were breaking out so thinnification is just part of that. If you look at pics of most actresses once they've start getting famous they start drastically slimming down.
Anyway it's clesr that Jen and her team think she has some outside shot at Oscar. I'm doubtful when the lead 5 appear to be Julianne M, Amy A, Reese, Rosamund Pike & Felicity Jones that Jen can get in there. But bless her heart it'll be amusing watching her try and talk about her craft...

I like that dress a lot. Sexy, but doesn't show too much skin.
I could care less about the Oscar. I'm just happy to see her doing something that isn't a crappy rom-com.
